Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.29/day in the week to Aug 16 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

So far so fun! Always been a fan of Japan and it's culture so I'm glad someone was able to make a game for foreigners to be able to learn both the language and some of the culture. The lessons accumulate and build after one another to help the player learn it naturally. The pixel art is simple but cute and there are some tools to help with different disabilities if needed. Only complaint is that one of the mini games is too fast tho that might be a get good situation, lol.
I just randomly stumbled upon this gem, and I'm so glad about it! :) Before the game, I've been self-learning through other resources for a bit less then a year. I'm probably somewhere between N5 and N4 right now. Even though the game starts from complete beginning, I still find it very useful. Plus, it's very entertaining :) Very fun way of learning Japanese - HUGE thanks to the creators!
Pretty good for just having fun with the language not a complete replacement for study buy if you enjoy it will still help
Great game and dedicated devs!
I would highly recommand knowing hiragana and katakana before starting to play this game, even tho this game explain them to you.
Отличная игра, с которой учить японский действительно просто и увлекательно.
I have been trying for nearly two decades to grasp even the first level of Japanese. I've tried books. I tried CDs of Japanese language learning in the early 2000s. I've tried Duolingo. None of them helped me get a basic understanding of sentence structure or helped me remember kana enough to reliably read or sound out words. This helped me do all that in about five hours of gameplay. I'm in disbelief that I'm actually reading even very basic Japanese. I can not conceive of where I might be in my journey at the ten hour mark. If you've always wanted to learn Japanese, go get this game now! If you're ADHD like me and you struggle with having the attention span to sit down and memorize things, this is really easy to pick up and put back down in small chucks. You can go in to practice kana, make progress on the game, or play the learning mini-games. It has a lot of variety and I definitely recommend it!
I'm starting as I approach N5 from self study. I wish I had started this much earlier. As learning goes, it is great to combine with some other formal sources of study. As a game, it makes the learning of Japanese a lot more fun.
