An exciting VR escape experience! 🕵️♂️🔓 The puzzles are clever and immersive, making me feel like I'm really inside the rooms. Great for fans of challenge and virtual reality!
Full room scale Escape the Room game, puzzles work well and they go from easy to somewhat hard puzzles. The environment is somewhat mysterious without being scary, graphics are on the ugly side, but performance is great. I really liked the first Vacate the Room game, as the puzzles worked all fine, and this one didnt dissapoint in that front, everything works as intended. But the platform for moving from room to room mechanic felt weird, or somewhat badly implemented? more because i spent a lot of time on it. The environment is somewhat mysterious without being scary, graphics are on the ugly side, but performance is great. There is no teleport, you move in your real space, and to make the space larger, the game consists of different "mini rooms" you access by entering a moving platform that moves you around. The minirooms have clues or tools to use in a different mini room. This sounds pretty interesting, and it is, but travelling between the mini rooms was the most annoying part of the game... instead of walking 2 steps you have to travel in the elevator for 20-30 seconds each time, and i forget stuff so i had to go back and forth because i didnt remember the exact sequence or what the clue said, or because i forgot an item i needed 2 rooms over. But aside from that, everything works perfectly, puzzles are quite harder this time, but they all have a clear logic and clues around in the environment. This is a clear upgrade from the first game, but at the same time feels like some stuff went into the game just to put them in, I would love some backpack or item carrying slots in Vacate the room 3! Recommended for Escape the Room lovers, the game is cheap being an absolute bargain on sale, all the puzzles work as intended and are pretty satisfying to complete!
Constantly hitches, feels pretentious in a way the first game didn't.
It's like the first but longer and with better physics!
OK albeit short VR escape room ... this one is a borderline No because A) the game is not only short but artificially lengthened by the slowness of the elevator and B) as a previous reviewer has mentioned the twisting of the elevator as you go up and down is nauseating. The idea is sound (increase room size without the need for locomotion) but I feel would have been better served by a cage that went straight up and down and just opened to the room you stopped on.
VR2: Vacate 2 Rooms, developed and published by hOSHI, is a virtual reality escape room experience that expands upon the concepts of its predecessor, delivering a mix of exploration, puzzle-solving, and immersive environmental storytelling. Players are placed in a series of intricately designed rooms, each filled with hidden objects, interactive mechanisms, and cryptic clues. The objective is simple in theory—solve puzzles to progress from one room to the next—but the game challenges players with a variety of complex obstacles that demand attention to detail, creative thinking, and patience. Its VR format heightens the sense of presence, making each discovery and interaction feel tangible. Gameplay in VR2: Vacate 2 Rooms revolves around examining the environment and experimenting with objects to uncover solutions. Players must search for hidden items, decode patterns, and manipulate devices to unlock new areas. The puzzles vary in difficulty, with some requiring careful observation and logical deduction, while others demand trial-and-error approaches or lateral thinking. The VR mechanics enhance engagement, allowing players to physically reach, move, and rotate objects, creating a sense of agency that is central to the escape room experience. While the game is rewarding when a solution is discovered, some puzzles are intentionally obscure, and players may occasionally experience moments of frustration if clues are too subtle or connections are not immediately apparent. The visual design of the game is a standout feature. Each room is crafted with a distinct aesthetic, combining stylized textures, carefully placed lighting, and atmospheric effects to create environments that feel mysterious and intriguing. The design encourages exploration, rewarding players who pay attention to subtle details and interact with the surroundings thoroughly. While the graphics may not match the visual fidelity of the latest VR titles, the art direction effectively supports the game’s themes and creates a compelling, immersive world that feels both engaging and cohesive. Audio in VR2: Vacate 2 Rooms plays a critical role in reinforcing the atmosphere. The soundtrack blends subtle, haunting melodies with ambient environmental sounds, providing cues that guide players’ attention while enhancing tension and immersion. Sound effects, such as the creak of a door or the click of a mechanism, make interactions feel satisfying and reinforce the tangible nature of the VR space. While generally effective, some players have reported occasional inconsistencies or minor technical issues with audio, which can momentarily detract from immersion. Reception of VR2: Vacate 2 Rooms has been mixed, reflecting the game’s niche appeal and specific design choices. Fans of VR puzzle experiences have praised the game for its creative challenges, interactive mechanics, and immersive environments. Critics, however, note that the puzzle difficulty can sometimes feel uneven and that the game’s relatively short length limits long-term engagement. Additionally, technical quirks in VR implementation, while not game-breaking, can occasionally frustrate players seeking a polished and seamless experience. Overall, VR2: Vacate 2 Rooms offers an engaging and immersive escape room adventure for VR enthusiasts who enjoy exploration and complex problem-solving. Its thoughtful level design, interactive mechanics, and atmospheric presentation create a compelling experience that leverages the strengths of virtual reality. While it may not appeal to players seeking a lengthy or highly polished title, it succeeds in delivering a focused, challenging, and memorable journey through a series of mysterious and intriguing environments. Rating: 6/10
This feels arbitrarily more difficult than the first game. I had to go searching online for hints way too many times.
+Fun +Escape 2 rooms instead of one -Elevator movement was awkward and gave many people vertigo. -Little buggy, somehow got stuck inside of things, elevator left and wouldn't let me get it back etc. -Little pricey for experience 3/5 A Short, sweet and fun VR experience. Although there are a few game-breaking bugs and annoying movements that'll bring even the most Vertigo resistant VR players to the ground with it's movements. The controls for Oculus are terrible. I'm sure they're much better for HTC or this wouldn't be well reviewed, but it's like impossible to pick anything up with Oculus.
чёт как то туго играется игра..загадки неочевидные, удалил..((
