About
Voxel Eras is a first-person factory builder about progressing through eras of technology. You'll gather resources, process them into more products, build new machines in progressively advancing technological eras, and combining them into production lines to let the machines do the work for you in your ever growing workshop.
Build with friends in Multiplayer CO-OP (or by yourself in Singleplayer if you're more into that) in the game's fully modifiable Voxel world, working to face the ever growing complexities of technology as you work your way through the Eras. If you're wanting something fresh you can also try Modding, where scripting allows you to create your own tailored experience.
Will you conquer the Eras?

While the game looks neat for something early in development, the linux build seems to be very unstable. The game repeatedly crashes when attempting to do basic things like opening the eras menu, opening my inventory, and placing blocks. Maybe I will return to the game once it has been developed more and become more stable, but for now I'm refunding.
Let me get the cons out of the way first, these are my only real issues with the game; there is some minor performance issues, though nothing too bad. It does lack content, but that is to be expected from an early access game. Its has a lot of potential though. Has the framework and foundation for a great game, a very satisfying main game-play loop (automation) and already some interesting mechanics already. Given time and more development I think the game will become far better than it already is. Though if your looking for a review of how it currently is, its a nice short game that has about a days worth of game-play content in it. You can just about complete the game in a few hours.

Early access review: Great crafty-mining factory builder! Survival and resource hunting are trimmed off so you can get straight to the (in my opinion) fun bit, factory layout puzzles, automating and tuuuuubes. Power is very short range meaning you have to build compact modular mini-factories. Very satisfying to finally automate a type of machine frame using only one winder and never have to make it by hand again. I highly recommend checking out the experimental branch so you can play with the multiblock machines, the sudden jump in demand for fuel and the steam era's new resource (that you have to manufacture!) is fun (I'm still barely meeting demand for the resource, but I have the fuel figured out!). I am holding back on modding anything but art until the scripting engine switch (indev) is complete and documented but can hardly wait.
The game currently only has 1~2 hours of content, but I can see the idea. You really need to optimize though, the performance is worse than early versions of Minecraft as of now.

i'm sorry you put jazz in this game? (love it)
Game good
This game is very interesting and has a lot of potential. However, unlike a lot of games that call themselves "Early Access", it very much is still in development. At the moment, only a small fraction of the planned content is in the game, so don't go into it expecting a full 100+ hours of factory building. All in all, if that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, just put it on your wishlist for now and come back later, or buy it now to support the dev and whet your appetite for the full game.
neat
Voxel Eras has been a really fun early access game that I really hope continues to get undated as it has from when I purchased it. It brings back the feeling I got from a lot of old style minecraft tech modpacks but with it's own unique style to the technology you are able to unlock and use. Any form of automation in Voxel Eras can be really fun to figure out since the game has different avenues you can follow to get to the same end goal. Item transportation in specific has been especially enjoyable as the pipes are relatively easy to work with and powerful with the capabilities they have. It is absolutely addicting being able to watch your items fly through the pipes to their destinations. Game still needs more content but has been frequently updated since it's been launched into early access. I'm eager to see where the game goes. The modding has been fun to mess around with in the meantime.
