Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.43/day in the week to Aug 11 → 6.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I liked all the customisation. New content was added not too long ago, after I bought it. I quite enjoy the replayability.
Ну ти-по не тупи
I've been waiting for years for another FTL-like game. I'm glad somebody finally came up with it!
This game is Subset Games' FTL, reskinned into a "Legally-Not-Warhammer-40k(TM)" universe. Like, you will be asking yourself how they legally got away with making the *exact" same game as FTL. The controls are identical, the gameplay is identical, even the scrap costs to upgrade each system is identical. So if you don't know FTL, go read an FTL review first, because i'm mainly going to talk about the differences. Now if, like me, you are a big fan FTL, this is GREAT NEWS! You just got a whole new set of toys to play with! After going on about how the gameplay is identical, I should add that this game is substantially BIGGER than FTL. There is SO much content here. One of the biggest additions is Psychic powers (effectively wizards). There are a plethora of different kinds of spellcasters you can get on your crew (combat mages, necromancers, healers, etc.) and a plethora of different spells they can equip. There are spells that mind control, create fires, conjure poison gas clouds, teleport crew, damage enemy ships like lasers, heal your crew, summon demons, and many many others. Speaking of equipping, there is a an equipment system in this game, that effectively takes the place of the experience system in FTL. various crew have armor, weapon, tool, or psychic slots that can be filled with guns, spells, door-breaching warhammers, space suits, firesuits, welding torches, riot shields, hull patches, a demonic totem that summons a tentacled horror, etc. etc. In concert with the wide variety of spells and equipment, you also have a wide variety of crew to hire. Unlike FTL, there is no limit to the amount of crew you can have on board. They come from 6 different factions, and each faction has many different classes to hire. In addition, you have an avatar on board, the Commander, which can be one of more than 10 different unlockable heroes. They are often your best crew member, but if they die, your run is over. All of the above combines to give you a deep well of strategic options, and really ensure that no two runs will bare any resemblance to one another. Boarding is a much bigger part of the game than FTL. nearly every encounter will involve some kind of boarding action. Sectors are bigger than in FTL. There is also a wider array of encounters, including demonic invasion, mini-bosses, and ground assaults. The end boss is randomly selected from a multitude of possibilities, that all require different strategy to defeat. There is SOOO much unlockable content, mostly hull types and commanders. Each one plays completely differently, each combination plays completely differently. Are you getting the picture, here? More. Bigger. Deeper. Better. This is a better better game than FTL. if you like FTL, you will LOVE this game. Kudos to Subset for doing it first. They developed a really tight, clean system with a core gameplay loop that's a hell of a lot of fun. Then Tundra came along with Void War, and ramped that formula up into an endless hall of possibilities that you can sink hundreds of hours into. I can't say enough good things about Void War, FTL's spiritual successor. Get it! You won't be sorry!
The game is already very interesting in its current state, though a little short. It is essentially an FTL clone with a Grimdark lore twist, without explicitly naming Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40K license. The game draws very freely from that lore, which unsurprisingly earned them a lawsuit from GW. It takes things one step beyond FTL with more tactical missions and a larger crew, featuring several different skills. It can feel slightly repetitive, since the goal is to replay it several times in order to unlock new upgrades, new characters, especially captains, and new ship builds that will serve as your HQ throughout the run. Edit : A fast-forward feature would be useful, as some fights feel a little too long.
Impossible not to compare this to FTL (in all the good ways) with some very interesting additions to the format, such as: Better ship boarding approach, kit for crewmembers, a fairly forgiving Normal-mode, which leads to new ships sooner than FTL. I wish the runs were longer with more merchants but otherwise I'm really happy with it so far. Maybe if this is a success the Devs of FTL will wake-up and stop sleeping on a goldmine. However it'd be nice to see Void War outperform it's inspiration.
