Void Collector

I definitely have a bias for this game since I drew like one third of the enemies in the game but I think it's pretty cool. 😎

A game that uses the control scheme as a game mechanic, and actually gets it right. At first, it's pretty overwhelming, scrambling across your keyboard to make the right hand poses. It makes you feel clumsy, but once it clicks, it becomes incredibly satisfying (There’s an assist mode, but struggling through the control scheme in my opinion is the most fun part.) Visually, the game looks surreal, it gives off ENA: Dream BBQ vibes. The game is visibly inspired by Neon White, but where Neon White felt slow, Void Collector doesn't limit your speed, and makes keeping up your momentum incredibly satisfying. It also has enemies that aren't just obstacles, some of them actually help you move faster and pull off shortcuts if you know how to use them. The game features five distinct worlds, each with four stages, plus four tutorial levels. Every world, including the hub, has its own music track, and the music in this game besides sounding amazing matches the atmosphere of each stage perfectly. Each stage has a straightforward way of beating it but the magic lies in finding shortcuts, using all the game mechanics to optimize your path while also maintaining your juice (ammunition) and if you're going for Voltaic+ times, also accounting for the combo meter that can't run out through the whole stage. Even if you're not into speedrunning, I'd still recommend this game. Beating all the stages, finding all the collectibles, and beating the final boss is a full, rewarding experience all on its own. Void Collector is something that is fun to master as well as to explore at a slow pace.

Very void-core, and very gork-pilled (Fun game, i followed its development)

This game is made by a guy called Seth newlin which is strange cause I have a good friend called seth newlin. Idk if there is any connection between the two although i have seen seth "making" a game from time to time. Oh! Void collector is also a fun game btw!

Void Collector is a fun game with a creative twist: your hand is your weapon. Each finger gesture is a different ability, making the game play feel fresh and full of personality. The art style is simple and silly in the best way, quite charming. I love how you can flick them off. While it can be a bit tricky to master all the gestures quickly during fights, the learning curve just makes it rewarding once you get the hang of it. Overall, Void Collector is worth checking out, i recommend it.

Haven't gotten much time to play yet, but it's definitely a fun game. I still haven't fully figured out the numbers corresponding to switching fingers though, thought it would be straightforward press 1 to change to single finger, but instead some numbers invert your hand and such. Overall I don't think this is much of a big deal once you have everything memorized, and also if you don't want to use that, there's a radial menu for each gun by pressing f, it just takes longer.
