While the lobbies can occasionally catch fire and league matches/round robins have a tendency to break mid bracket, REVO's a very solid port of a fantastic game that's only continuing to get support during the leadup to Virtua Fighter Crossroads. There's still enough incentive to pick up VF5 in preparation for the new game, enough life in the online scene through various tournaments and Discord groups, and a rollback netcode that's good to great depending on regional connections. The new additions to replays, training mode, and World Stage mode also make a pretty effective combo for picking up the game, trying out new characters, or improving on character knowledge or fundamentals, making this an easy recommend for both veterans and newcomers to Virtua Fighter or 3D fighters in general. Definitely worth the recommend, especially for the $20 USD price tag.

what happened today? An update on SteamOS disabled VF5 on my machine. Sega says from now on a Windows only game to install Easy anti cheat. Steam shop says SteamOS compatible, not true anymore. Deinstalled VF5 immediately for not wasting 25GB space for a broken game. Sega, I want single player offline mode on SteamOS, give it back to me, I payed for this!

ゲーム自体は完成されていて楽しい。ただ極度の過疎且つクライアントが不安定。あと、過疎ゆえにランクマで初心者・新規参入者と対戦することも多い。本当に申し訳ない。この仕様どうにかならんのかな。
