the best thing i have ever played the story is the best
Lets begin, You start out as Viola, the title character practicing with her violin after failing an awful amount of times a portal opens up swallowing you and taking you to the world of Vylna Its here you start on your journey unlocking the way home through the power of music and friendship (it is magic you know) Along the way you meet more and more lively characters who join you on your journey to help you get home and to save the world from the monsters now running amok, you characters have different weapons and abilities but they all action in the same way with on screen QTE's that control the damage output, or if you will hit at all. Throughout the world of Vylna you must put your platforming skills to the test jumping around the environments to get to the exit fighting monsters who stand in your path. Over the course of the story you unlock points to boost your bond with your travel companions and complete personal quests where you help them often overcome adversaries they had tried on their own. The main story is one of love acceptance and understanding that sometimes not being okay, is okay and your friends are there to help. Overall it's pretty fun all though it does feel slightly rushed towards the back half of the game. I really adore the character interactions throughout and think the accessibility options that have been included to make levelling easier or battles easier are a really nice touch, although admittedly the game isn't that tough to begin with. Its a game that is a lot more about the journey than the goal and that's a fine choice.
Viola: The Heroine’s Melody is a simple story about Viola exploring a fantastical world, meeting new friends, defeating foes, and growing up, but when our real-life pandemic casts a lingering air of dread and gloom over everything, spending time with a game like this is a relaxing, calming escape. There’s value in that. Check out my full review at GameCritics.com! https://gamecritics.com/eugene-sax/viola-the-heroines-melody-review/
This is a light Turn based RPG game about a girl dealing with loss and her journey dealing with the grief Along the way she meets a whole bunch of diverse characters each with their own story and abilities. Not a very difficult game and a decent amount of content to keep you busy for a couple hours
