Villagers is a beautifully illustrated and richly detailed town-building game where you build a thriving community using the people and resources around you. Success or failure depends on your ability to create a town that can grow and prosper, and overcome the harsh realities of medieval life!

Picked it up 90% off and was still disappointed. It plays like an Early Access game that still needs a lot of work. Most irritating thing is that the interface doesn't follow its own standards. The "continue" button? Sometimes on the left, sometimes in the middle, sometimes on the right. The "Assignments" +/- buttons on building details rejustifies the columns after one villager is added, moving the buttons. The keymap in general seems intentionally designed to make the player take their hand off the mouse and reach for the right side of the keyboard for every task... devs, PICK ONE. It's a mess that makes it a determined, immersion-breaking, slog to get past the interface to the game. And then when you do, the campaign mode seems to end every episode right after it teaches the new elements. Ok, nice tutorial, *where's the game*? The story, such as it is, for the campaign goes *really* dark on the villain, to such an extent that, parents take note, this is not a game for kids... unless you raise your kids on original Brothers Grimm, or maybe Clive Barker. Followup: Yep, abandoned by the developer(s). I should've read the comments. Once I had finished 'campaign' mode (which is ridiculously short), I thought I'd try to pick up the last few achievements. One of them apparently is just for staying on the main menu screen for a while, so that was easy. The last two, fifty houses and 100 people, are not achievable because a game bug of seasons flashing by in seconds, resources do not produce, and population stays stuck at 29, followed by starving because *eating* still happens even though food production stops. Oh, and I finished the campaign levels each time with less than 20 people, partly because it never explained how houses work. Yeah, I'm done. Not only do I want my $2 back, which Steam won't do, I want my TIME back too which is also not happening.
Got it at a 90% discount, I'd say it's worth a tad bit more, but not much. Count on about 10h of playtime with the campaign - pretty linear stuff, an ok-ish story. Be careful of quests, check if they're timed so as not to fail a map as I did by not building 4 stupid raincatchers in 3 days cause I didn't realize it was a timed quest. Freestyle...eh. Not worth it unless you're chasing the few last achievements, but people claim the reproduction rate is broken. I guess it is as on my last map, I couldn't find a way to stop them fornicating, so with 6 houses my population rose to 50+, which is not a small number to feed unless you've got your production chains sorted.
Decent game for the cheap price of $1.49. I was able to complete the campaign but if I went to free play mode after I was not able to click on any building or villager. Starting fresh into free play mode from main menu screen allowed me to play until it started to glitch the seasons and everyone died ending in failure. So do I recommend this game? NO! Did I enjoy it for myself before the glitches? Yes! If this review helps you decide, YW!
After an hour to the ambient sound of bees and flowers from the houses, all my population no mater the age died of old age in the spawn of a few seconds. Yea, one of the many odd game breaking bugs in the game. Not worth the time...

Compre: https://store.steampowered.com/app/242920/Banished/
I thought I would give this a try considering it was for $1.99 but it still had too little content for me to enjoy.
Definetly recommended for those who like "builder/survival" games but in a very passive methodical style. For the price its definetly worth it.
