The game features one huge 1000+ km2 map that covers North and South Vietnam, and large parts of Laos and Cambodia with hundreds of manually built bases and villages.

I definitely recommend this game. The game has both its ups and its downs, but the developer makes up for most of the downs. The developer works very hard and is very active with updating large updates that keep the player base coming back, while also fixing many bugs that come up throughout the game. The game itself has some many little details and features that can keep the player interested. There is so much to explore in the game, so much so that I definitely recommend playing through the game multiple times, trying different branches of the military, fighting for your life to make it home. I would definitely recommend purchasing the game, and exploring it for all that it has to offer.
You ever feel like playing Battlefield and Hell Let Loose, but don't wanna bother playing with other people, and then decide last minute that Arma would be more enjoyable? That's what this game is basically. I've only played for 4 hours so far, but within that time I have been attacked by snakes, dogs, enemy soldiers, crashed a plane in an attempt to fly it, crashed a helicopter in an attempt to fly it, actually played mission objectives correctly and died while doing so, and take control of an entire squad that somehow fights off an entire invasion, only to get sniped unfairly by NPCs, and then get immediately spawn killed by enemy artillery fire. There's also the feature of flying back to the US and essentially playing indie GTA where you're a Vietnam veteran, and somehow being able to travel to the USSR to be some kind of CIA agent or something? Oh, and you can get thrown into prison after committing crimes that makes the FBI chase after you. The game is certainly ambitious, and for what it seems like it is only one person that is working on the game. It is incredibly janky, and will be guaranteed to have poor performance on some PCs (the performance on mine has been mostly fine, mostly), but it can be a lot of random fun. I wish the developer godspeed in their endeavor of developing this game, and I hope it gets fully fleshed out and finished.
This game would be really good if it wasn't so bad. There's so much content here it's fantastic, but none of it works particularly well. Aircraft, for example, are particularly egregious with the way they fly and handle (i.e. like a brick on a string) As others have said, the dev seems almost entirely focused on later gameplay aspects rather than getting the basic physics working correctly.
I'm a sucker for games like this. I love a good bot shooter and this one has a ton to offer. Its still in Early Access and does not run well at this time, but that wont stop me from recommending this game! I hope the small team can continue to improve the core experience. This game is a mix of Easy Red 2 and Warlord Britannia. A HUGE open sandbox map, vehicles, squad mechanics, capture points, missions, and more. The game circumvents a typical bot shooter issue of the player throwing themselves at the same capture point over and over again by really great reinforcement mechanics. The map is incredibly vast, and you can hitch a ride on a helicopter, commanding it where to go. While most of the map is empty, it doesnt really matter. It still feels populated with enemy bases, animals, forests, villages, and the occasional flavor/detail area (like a crashed plane or something.) The highlight of the map is the Saigon area! A very detailed and well crafted focal point. My one gripe is that it can take a long time to make progress. I wish you could just get 10 victory points for the whole map, instead of the victory points resetting when you enter a new region. I like this game so far and would recommended it for those who love ravenfield, easy red 2, classic BF 1942, and more. Again, I hope the dev can fix performance before 1.0 launch.
