This game is an absolute gem. I am not sure if its me but the map and where he marker is at could use some work. Its not accurate. If each house was labeled that would be immensely helpful. Also perhaps I messed up but I believe I am stuck as I can not find more stone. Do the rocks in the swamp regenerate? It would be lovely if they did if they don't. Aldo when using a controller and going to bed it doesn't work at all. I had to switch to mouse mode back out and go back in to go to sleep. Regardless this is an amazing game worth the purchase. I love the pace of the character. The style is lovely. I adore this game.
Fun game that the dev continues to update. reminds me a little of stardew but is different in many ways that are pleasant.
I really like the setting of the game everything looks great . I wood like to find more iron ore and maybe you can put the names of the people on the map to locate them in the game other then that i really enjoy the game can't wait until you finish it . Thank You
这游戏好可爱呀!我很喜欢像素+种田游戏,好期待! this game is cute~ i always love pixel+farming games,really looking forward to it~~(●'◡'●)♪(^∇^*)
There is so much to this game already. I'm in love. The music is great. There's so many quests. I love the graphic style. I like the characters. The map is GIGANTIC. Just, be aware that it's nothing near finished. There's dead tiles in winter in the forest. There's a bug in one of the mechanics. A lot of places are as of yet inaccessible. But! I'm looking forward to every single update and it's really a great game. Look, it's my current favorite farming/life sim and it's promising to get even better.
As of now, I enjoy playing. No tools breaking is a Plus so I can enjoy doing other things like farming, mining, fishing, looking for flowers (for Alchemy) and such and/or building up my farm ( you do still have energy drain and it kind of drain fast thou ). Still in EA and there are many places still not open yet, but fetching quest, mining, fishing and building up my farm is enough to enjoy it as of now. KB+M or use controller both works fine for me. Would recommend if you don't mind sometime getting lost because no mini map guiding you around ( only annoying in the beginning, but after a while you will get used to it. Mine cave do have a mini map to help you. ) Still in EA and if you don't mind many area still not open for exploring. Super plus side for me, The developer is friendly. I was looking for info regarding where to look for a particular fruit. And was reading the dev reply to player(s) on itch.io and find them very friendly.
After playing the demo for a day, I bought the full game despite typically avoiding Early Access because a) I really enjoyed the demo and b) I appreciate the frequent updates from the developer, including engaging with the Steam community via the discussion board. As a long-time Harvest Moon player, I've played quite a few games in this genre, including Stardew, Kynseed, Story of Seasons, etc.. While there are echos of these other games in Verdant Village, it does have its own unique feel and I think especially as more features are implemented, it will continue to gain its own identity. In addition to the usual farming, foraging, fishing, and mining, there is also alchemy, archaeology, and hunting. I particularly want to give props to the fishing system/mini game as fishing is usually my least favorite activity. The mini game has just enough interaction to be more enjoyable than 'cast and click' but isn't frustrating, like games that require you to hit the correct timing or lose the fish. There's lots to do, lots to explore, and much more planned as the game continues development. If you aren't sure, definitely give the demo a try.
Great game, unfinished but playable. Dev is quite active with issues so it's also nice to see.
Amazing game with huge potential. The progression is smooth & not too grindy. Plus, unlike most game of this type, you don't just drop unconscious at midnight & get dragged to your bed in the morning with a medical bill & stamina damage. You can keep playing till your actual stamina bar runs out & needs a good night sleep. Than you can chose how long you want to rest! The play hours just keep passing by, I'm having a blast & it's still only in early access. Add to that that the DEV is quick to answer & fix any bugs reported quickly.
