Venture Forth is an extremely challenging adventure game with a retro 90s shooter vibe. Forge your own path within its labyrinthine caves but beware the danger lurking around every corner.

While it is still in Early Access, and there are some quirks here and there, Venture Forth holds a lot of promise in regards to being a top-notch 3d adventure game! It gives as much as it takes, and believe me, while there will be some moments of frustration, there's also a lot to love about the game in general. I really like the feeling of being in some underground lava caverns with who-knows-what. Small thoughts creep into your heart from time to time (Or at the top left) about locating the heart, finding the center, and every so often settling on despair. It's a nice, subtle poke in the side that urges you on. Various areas are often hiding something, whether it's an item you need to continue forward or an over-powered weapon, the key to the game is to kill everything and explore everything, and to always check your inventory for special items that have dropped. It feels like an adventure game that caters mostly to the inquisitive folk that want to explore every nook and cranny of an area. While I can't say I'm the same and I have gotten stuck on more than one occasion, I also wouldn't change the way a player progresses through the game. Some clues might be nice though! The music is ambient, and I kind of wish there were a few more tracks, but I haven't reached the end of the game yet, so I don't know how long it takes to beat it. The monsters are adorable, and I'd hug them to bits if they didn't hit me with arrows or bumrush me so much! As mentioned before, there are some quirks here and there. I really had (and still do), have a bit of a time understanding the inventory system. It's fully customizable, but for new players who don't have many items in the first place, I haven't seen the need for so many slots and bars. Aaand maybe some more whispered clues when a player is stuck and doesn't know what to do or what to look for. I'm a sucky adventurer though, so that might just be me! Overall, I really like this game and definitely recommend checking it out.
Not bad, very early build ofcourse. Loads of potential here. I had to play at a very low resolution, normally that bothers me but the gameplay itself still made up for it. Interesting weapons and armor to make some nice gear setups. Movement felt a bit like Quake with enough speed and the gliding later on. Would like to see more of this for sure.
Игра "положит" любую систему, своей оптимизацией.
The game can be very confusing in the beginning since it doesn't exactly give you a direction to go, but as you explore it more, you start to unrevel the puzzle that's embedded with some functional items as keys. It also gives a bit of a creepy vibe, but all so interesting nevertheless. https://youtu.be/yftBBtsmfy8
Love this game. Really scratches the itch that Hellraid left vacant. I was a huge fan of Heretic/Hexen as a kid, and was really looking forward to Hellraid, when the conceptual Venture Forth work came along! I followed them way back from their early Kickstarter days, and the team is extremely respectful, focused, and determined! If you were a Heretic or Hexen fan, and were really looking forward to Hellraid, this is definitely a game you should try out. The ambiance is there. The sound effects and puzzles are there. It has a real procedural feel to it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and came back to it many times because it's so easy to get immersed. I can't think of much else to say. I just really recommend you try the game out. Huge love letter to the 90's and done so very well. You can feel the love in every area, and that is something extremely rare with games these days. Also, I have many many hours on record, so ignore Steam being stupid. I think that's because the game just launched, or whatever. No idea.
abandoned game
You know those games that you enjoy scouring the level map for clues? This is that kind of game. You COULD just stumble on, but puzzles are revealed when you look at the map. I like that stuff alot. One note, this game is HARD. Beyond the first set of baddies this ramps up pretty quick. Thankfully you will (or could/should) have a couple armor/weapons builds by then.
많이 끊기네요...싸다고 0.5달러에 덜렁 사는 게 아니었습니다.
Awesome game! Takes me back to Ocarina of Time in a good way. There is obviosly a progression that is built into the game of a get-this to do-that. The exploring aspect is pretty fun, but I wish the world were a bit bigger. :( Graphics are decent for a greenlight game. Colors and light are respresented well, giving an eerie feel as you walk through the world. Swimming is involved, and its not a pain in the neck! My one major gripe is health potions. I seem to have run out, but then again I haven't completely finished the game, and perhaps there is a object or mechanism that will help me shortly. Also, maybe I just suck. Overall a 7/10!
Abandoned game. Has the making of a decent game, but it's broken and incomplete. Hasn't received an update in over three years. Don't waste your money.
