o jogo é bem curtinho e os puzzles são mt fáceis, mas eu acho o visual muuito lindo e a história emocionante (além de ser legal conhecer um pouquinho mais sobre uma cultura diferente!)
It was a short game, but it still conveyed a meaningful story that many 9+ hour games have difficulty with. Even though it is an intertwining of the South Indian and Canadian culture mix, I still connected with the inner conflict. The childhood to adulthood conflict with your culture's and ethnicity's food, your friends' rejection or misunderstandings of your ethnicity's food, and wanting to maintain the bond with your parents as they are also navigating being the first generation immigrants. Soundtrack for the game was wonderful and catchy, art style was beautiful, I love the inclusion of the recipes that were in the game. I look forward to the next game from Visai Games.
Le jeu en lui même est choupi si vous aimez les petits narratifs, les interactions sont rare mais suffisante. Ne vaut pas du tout son plein tarif à mon sens, par contre. Mais il est régulièrement autour des 4-5€ en promo sur Steam, ce qui est correct pour l’expérience proposée. (Il peut aussi se trouver pour 1€ sur instant) Très court, je l’ai laisser tourné en arrière plan sans faire gaffe d’où les 5h de jeu mais en réalité en 1h-1h30 c’est plié.
Amazing game, definitely pick it up during a sale since it’s quite short. The story is heartfelt, and the cooking mechanics are simple but really enjoyable.
Venba is a rare, deeply moving gem. What makes it so special is how authentically grounded it is in Tamil roots -seeing South Indian heritage, food, and music celebrated like this felt completely unique and refreshing. Combined with a vibrant art style, a soundtrack that rocks, and a touching immigrant story, Venba is brief, but its warmth lingers long after the credits roll. Highly recommended!
