A big warning - this game is unbelievably hard, but it is so good that yet it did not get frustrating for me. Besides the absurd difficulty, this game is amazing - the creativity and design of the levels, graphic, background music and sound, everything is great. I am not a flat-screen platformer fan at all, but VR made this a whole different experience, and this one is one of the best out there.
"Use the double jump and hold the attack button to activate Ven's power attack and DESTROY THEM ! " - Nice platformer, sometimes challenging (9 hours on normal for me) - Very satisfying to play in my case, - No puzzles, - Cutie protagonist, - Lovely music, - Beat Saber skill is an extra advantage, - Sadly almost no story and no cut-scenes. If you like Moss, I would give it a try, 7/10
its fun and it fits right in to a VERY under served segment of video gaming, if it had just. one. more. feature. it would be awesome. that feature? the ability to move the camera back and forth on its rail yourself. i get it, they want it to follow a path but if you get a little ahead of yourself, it makes turning around to check out surroundings a real bad experience sitting. standing not so much, but who wants to stand for a game like this? its such a huge drawback tho, id only give 2.5 stars. 5 if it had that feature. it is a really fun platformer too.
Very decent VR platformer! Beautiful, challenging levels with a wide variety of scenarios, each with it's own theme. Controls are OK. Camera while not the best, does it job quite nice - I have only had a few minor issues with it during my playthrough. I liked collectibles a lot! They made levels a lot more challenging and rewarding. VERDICT: Game definitely has some rough edges here and there, but nevertheless, it's one the best platformers I have played in VR!
Ven VR Adventure is a third-person platformer which combines features from what I would consider the top two VR titles in this genre, Lucky's Tale and Moss. The player is a floating being with hands / controllers and observing / controlling the actions of Ven; he's an adorable fantastical creature of some sort which reminds me of the Gelflings from the Dark Crystal. For the most part, you control Ven like any other 3d platformer with a mascot, running and jumping and stomping on enemies, and in this game double jumping and also attacking with your weapons when necessary. During the major boss fights and a couple additional random times, you yourself must also use physical motion controls to protect or attack in order to ensure Ven's survival... one such fight has you wielding swords and taking out incoming missiles in the style of Beat Saber, which was a neat touch. There are twelve levels spread across three unique worlds. The first world is simple platforming, the second world ramps up the difficulty tremendously, and the third world is perfectly balanced. The game is short (4 hours for the playthrough) but time trial modes, collectathons, and bonus stages which I can't figure out how to unlock may extend the playtime. I rate this game highly. The only detractor is the camera system which locks your view in a set position and sometimes / often blocks your view of Ven with obstructions, your own hands, or warping your perspective by forcing you to look straight down. You'll learn tricks like resetting the camera then scooting your chair back or literally standing up and moving so you can see, but there's simply no backtracking because the camera won't follow you in reverse. All in all, an enjoyable game which becomes more difficult and engaging as it progresses across its short runtime. Perhaps the bonus stage will have a final showdown with the big bad villain...
красиво и очень сложно
Vr sahibi iseniz mutlaka kütüphanenizde bulunması gereken oyunlar vardır. Townsmen, Moss, hl:alyx, skywolrd. Şimdi birde bu oyunu ekleyebilirsiniz...
Even though visuals are nice, gameplay itself isn't fun enough, feels too basic. I had the game freeze after 25 minutes upon checking desktop on steam vr ingame overlay. After restarting the game there was no continue. Couldn't be bothered to re-play everything from beginning so I gave up.
I do recommend this game. It is a great VR platformer. My only complaints were that while the characters and other animations that are close up look really nice, some of the far backgrounds look a bit low res and even kind of ugly. Also, it seemed that some levels were still not out when I played. Overall though a really solid game and fun to play
