About
KilaFlow is a challenging fast paced precision 3D platformer where you play as a cute and mischievous Antivirus trying to fix the mistakes of it's creator and save all data from a mysterious virus!
In KilaFlow, you play as a digital simulation of a Toy Robot named "Kila", the mascot of the "KilaFlow" Antivirus. It's creator, Connor D. Rive, has made Kila in hopes that it can cure and fend off any and all viruses that plague their life. Kila must find the nine keys of each program to gain access to the source of the virus and bring it back to the side of cute and friendly, by any means Kila (or YOU) feels like!
Walk, Run, Jump, Bounce, Spin, Charge, or FLOW your way to the end and save as much data it takes along the way! You may be an Antivirus, but when was the last time one of those ever REALLY fixed the problem, huh? Save all the corrupted data, or don't! Beat the best time, or take as much time as you need! As long as you reach the Golden Brackets, collect the key, and beat the virus, it doesn't matter how much you help as long as you're having fun!
With 9 stylish worlds, each having 9 short but challenging levels and a boss, KilaFlow will present you with new challenge after challenge, obstacle after obstacle, huggable data critters after huggable data critters! Whether you're a speedrunner, completionist, or just here for casual platforming fun, there are many ways to play and enjoy this series of digital obstacle courses! Beat the best times of levels to get better keys and unlock secrets, save or ignore every data to receive awards or face stronger foes, and you can do it all without taking a tick of damage! The real challenge starts when you chose to perfect your runs and do every challenge the game has to offer. Though, if that's not your thing, just getting to the end is fine too! Play as much or as little as you choose!
From an virtual pet on an oldschool computer browser to a sketchy dating app with some questionable characters, Kila cleans it all! Chill out to the beats from a friendly dolphin in a Vaporwave Cove, or run across train cars in a Dinosaur ridden offline Desert. Be careful what you click when journeying through literal Ad Space, and don't trust every wise Gorilla offering to send emails for you in the big city. Who knows what Antivirus Adventures you might find yourself in!
KilaFlow is a small, simple, and fun little platformer I began developing to keep my spirits up, and I'd like to share that fun with you all as well! It has since succeeded it's Kickstarter with the support of it's community, and I intend to keep developing it with the players needs first! Thank you very much!

Was very overwhelming to start, but once you learn the game and its objectives its great fun to get into the aptly named flow state. For that and its appealing PC aesthetic, I really admire this game. However, around world 3, gimmicky levels got very frustrating and I don't have fun with the game when I'm not full-clearing objectives. Definitely see the issues people are having with depth perception especially when a lot of levels switch the camera angle or to vertical levels which just don't work as well. I got all the objectives thru world 4. Finishing 4 was such a slog, and in world 5 it felt like more of the same. Decided to drop the game from there, unfortunately.
Genuinely phenomenal game, it caught my eye with the sage 2023 showcase and I have been following along expectantly and can say it 100% delivered. A high speed platformer with a great sense of humor, amazing music, and while not deep, the story helps add to the experience. The game definitely challenges you to do the best you can, with the different medals & keys for stages offering fun ways to tackle them, and while it can feel difficult at times it is always very doable especially you can tackle things such as the time goals and hitless separately. The game wants you to engage with it and doing so is very rewarding. (I would say ask someone who is better at videogames for a review on this aspect lol) A great platformer with 100 levels this enjoyable for 20 dollars? This might be one of my few 10/10 games that would be recommended to anyone who enjoys the genre and one I can only see myself replaying it time and time again.
Kilaflow is an amazing fast paced platformer (at least i played it with speed in mind) its reminicent of the sonic adventure games with its soundtrack and overall vibe while having bite sized levels you can pick up and play. while difficult at times (cough world 8 cough) its mechanics are well made (i only cliped through objects twice :3) another great thing about this game is its ending (yes it has a kinda emotional ending but youll have to buy it to find out) overall this game really brightened my day with its cute visuals, amazing soundtrack and fast paced gameplay if your a fan of sonic games youll enjoy this. would recomend!
delightful presentation, and super tight gameplay! the characters and bosses are creative and delightful!! the "flow" mechanic takes a while to get used to; it's not like a speed boost, instead it extends whatever speed you had when you started the flow. so, I had plenty of deaths from trying to use it at the end of a jump, thus extending my (lack of) speed and failing the jump. Definitely pick this up if the presentation in the trailer looks appealing to you and you're looking for a bit of a challenge! 🖥️ o7 Runs great with a native Linux build!
An awesome game with a very cute and silly aesthetic. It's a great fusion of Speed and Precision Platforming that just hits in all the right ways, the gear system is fairly intuitive, it has some fun tricks and a well rounded kit to play with, well designed levels that can be really fun as you master your kit and figure out new ways to traverse them. I am gonna spend way way too much time getting all the keys lol
Absolutely phenomenal game that feels incredible to master and zoom through the levels!
i like Kila a normal amount
The game's super fun, I love it! It's visual style and soundtrack are great, very remaniscent of frutiger aero, vaporwave, and a lot of of both modern and old internet media. The movement is a bit complicated, but it's easy to understand, specially with the tutorials they give you. I actually have to give praise to the tutorials, because even if there's a lot of them, I never felt like they were unnecessary, they not only help explain new world mechanics, but also if the game sees that ur struggling to get the hang of things, it gives you more hints to help. That being said, the game isnt perfect. No matter if i played fullscreen, windowed, with all of my things closed except the game, it always had inconsistent FPS. Especially in the first world theres low FPS. I'm assuming its because the game isnt well optimized, but it could also just be my computer not liking godot very much. During gameplay, the camera is always fixed; you cant move it, and theres some sections in levels where it's in uncomfortable spots, making you do blind jumps on certain parts. The teleporters are instant, which I don't like because not only do they sometimes send you to narnia where you have no idea whats next, but also all teleporters look the same and sometimes levels spam them so idk where i will end up. And lastly, the gravity reversers, oh my god i hated them. The changes in gravity are indicated by arrows pointing up and down, but theres never like a box indicating you where the gravity switches exactly, because sometimes its beside the arrows and sometimes its behind them. And I think this is more of a skill issue but I could NOT for the life of me get adjusted to the controls while upside down. As a last positive note, the game's story is not the GRANDEST MOST REVOLUTIONARY LORE, it mostly takes a secondary spot, but i still think it was super sweet. Genuinely felt things at the end because of it, and also, I LOVE KILA!!!!!! They are going on my favorite character list for sure. Again, big reccomend, the game has some flaws but its still hella fun, I'd say it's a 7/10 or an 8/10, hidden gem for sure!
