My first time playing a farming-sim like game and I was pleasantly surprised. Its more than just farming, its adventure, strategy, and I love how the game scales up in difficulty due to the players choices. I also love the combat and the unique design/aesthetic of the game. Overall great experience!
Fun game
Usually not a big fan of farming sims but the combination with the RTS genre makes Veilwood a really enthralling experience. The core gameplay loop is simple but it's also engaging and tactical while providing endless replayability. There's also tons of charm in this game. Whether it's the language that the townsfolk speak, the art style, the creatures, or even the music there is plenty that makes this game stand out from your standard farming sim.
Definitely not your normal farming sim game. The combat is addicting, along with the satisfaction of growing crops and completing the puzzles. Not to forget, I always enjoy a little cooking in my games! That being said, I will never be trusting the cute things again... Not everything is as it seems in Veilwood...
Good game.. got to beat this hogs ass but this bitchass famished ahh rascal wouldn't tell me his little secret so i had to give him stuff which made me genuinely nauseous and appalled because i hate rascal. anyways great game. also ♥♥♥♥ rascal
Hidden gem. Worth your money.
Very cozy vibes with unique farming techniques I haven't seen before, like making sure the land has the right nutrients. Also love how there are so many mechanical aspects, like having pets, how killing monsters replenish soil, lots of tools and equipment. I feel like all these parts work together which result in multi-dimensional gameplay.
I am a dev and I think I did a good job :) Veilwood is a very unique experience that I think everyone should try. Plus the Hog is peak.
A solid buy for farming sim enjoyers who prefer a focus on gameplay (farming, managing soil conditions, base defending) rather than social sim. Graphically the game looks great with an eerie, gloomy atmosphere and art style! Definitely would recommend!
Very fun game with an addicting gameplay loop and really cool graphics.
