Interesting game for a few runs, but there is no replayability once completed. The game covers a single situation, so there is no story. You are just a regular person who gets caught in a storm while working on his farm. It is all about a race against time because the tornado will arrive shortly and force you to move. The tornado itself does not appear very terrifying or epic, but it is quite dangerous. You must keep far away from it because it can pull you in from a few meters away and kill you instantaneously. Although tornado will pick up and throw objects in its path, such as barrels, tractors, and trailers, it doesn’t tear up structures. Your objective is to get to the shelter before the tornado hits your home. Although you can do this right away, your final score will not be very good. That is why you should finish as many of the 12 tasks on your list as possible. So, you must close the windows in the house, switch off valves, open animals pens, and so on. The score depends on how many tasks you complete before closing the shelter. Sadly, the game prevents you from getting the best score. Except for one bugged task that involves your dog (the dog always spawns inside the shelter so the task can’t be completed), you won’t get the best score even if you do all tasks. The challenge consists of random elements. Both you and the tornado might begin the run from a separate location. Tasks are also unpredictable; you might ignore the task list in your current run and rush to a location only to discover that you do not have to do it. The strategy is to save tasks around the house for last because there is still time until the tornado arrives. The map is pretty small, but you will still need to run around to complete all objectives. Stamina requires time to recharge, so you cannot sprint continuously. There is no map or waypoints, so you may need to go on a few runs to figure out where everything is. There are signs pointing to a barn or a warehouse, but you must still find the appropriate interaction spots. Although interesting, the game quickly loses its appeal because there’s not much to do. This makes it pretty expensive because you can beat it in around one hour.
Good idea/concept. Needs a lot of polish. I don't feel the slightest bit horrified right now, I think the game needs a slightly different direction. It is a great idea though and I want to see it grow. Notes: Very lagy right now on day one.
Not a $7 game. More like a $2 game tops. To make it $7: -Add more things to do. (different maps, objectives) -Improve tornado physics and aesthetics. The top half of the tornado looks decent, the bottom half looks cheap. -Improve lighting -Fix the grading system. You can get a A or B rating if you b-line it to the storm shelter? I can't complete the D grade achievement no matter how much I purposely fail or delay tasks. I like the idea of it,. It's a solid concept but it needs to be more immersive. (sound quality if good) Possible maps: -Volcano eruption -Pyroclastic surge/Mud slide -Avalanche -Floods -Tsunami -Reinforce a boat before a huge wave hits it?
This game stressed me out - In the best way!! The anticipation and anxiety I feel as the tornado approaches have me racing around my farm, trying to complete every task. From calming my pup to opening gates for the cows, I'm immersed. As I play more, I hope to get more familiar with the farm layout and best strategies to complete all tasks. It's a pretty fun little indie game on a topic I love - natural disasters.
I liked it. The soundscape felt pretty good to me. I enjoyed some of the deep booms, and the wind picking up stressed me out. It was tough to tell how close you could cut it with getting back to the safe house, which felt natural given the setting. It has a bit of jank when trying to click things, but all in all its a fun little experience that was enjoyable for a few runs.
This game has a lot of potential, however there are some glaring issues. It runs really poorly, even on half resolution and medium quality i could just get 40-50 fps. and even with capped settings it doesn't look great. while at first the tornado is very imposing after the initial shock it acts more like a timer then a threat. Its less a horror game and more a task game with x amount of time. The tasks are not tricky, there are just a lot of them. If there were minigames or something else to them that would be nice. Finally the price is way to high. I got it on sale for 6 bucks and it still feels like way to much. I have about 35 minutes in the game and am not going to play again. Its not early access so im assuming this is it as far as updates. If it was like a buck or 2 maybe it would be worth it. The idea is very cool and i hope they add more too it because this is a very neat concept. https://youtu.be/5yzr_0DXK00
It's a fun way to spend some time running away, or towards (if so inclined), from a tornado. Always find Bruno first because why would you leave such a good boy behind?
This game needs a map, I spent most of the time looking for things and clicking on stuff that looked like it should be interactive but wasn't.
Not a bad game, but it would be nice to see more stuff added over time. While you do get a little bit of replay value at first, once you have learned the locations of everything and get more efficient at completing the tasks the game becomes a bit less entertaining. It took only a little over 2 hours for me to complete all the achievements, and while it took a few attempts to complete the grade A (which in addition to completing all the tasks I believe has a time component as well) and Vlad the Impaler, the rest weren't too bad to finish. Most of the tasks are easy enough, one seems bugged where you have to find and calm Bruno even though he is sitting in the bunker, but after a few hours there's just not much left to do. However, I don't regret buying this at all. Even with all the achievements done I can still see myself playing it now and then. If you're intrigued by the premise of the game I would recommend it but be aware that without a story and limited ways to play, the overall entertainment value will be limited.
