the only fun thing about to game is breaking the ai and getting it to say insane things. The issue is you can do that anyway with any ai model online.

Only tested the game for a few minutes so far, and I've already made the chief of police think that my name is "Vodka Martini". Then I asked him if he knows Wayne Gretzky, and he told me that Wayne Gretzky is actually his son John's name, but when I asked how his son's name can be Wayne when he just said that it's John, he denied that he had ever said such a thing, and told me that I'm confused and that my wires are crossed. Welcome to "Gaslighting Simulator 3000"!

This game literally doesn't work at all since the latest update. Why charge people for a game you cannot even play??? Never would recommend this game, even before the update it barely worked. People who made this game are nothing more than cash cows clearly.

I've tried to give this one a chance as you can see by my play time. The concept is very cool. The execution is not good. The character's way of speaking gets really old, really fast. You can't make heads or tails out of their babbling nonsense. Just... no. Game is very buggy, map doesn't work. Not playable. Who knows wth is going on. A big, sad thumbs down on this one.

This is a difficult game to review, and its definitely not for everyone and its borderline unplayable/broken as a detective game without reading "Some Hints for Detective Martini" from the guide. Also the Ai voice can really grate. So why the Positive review? I guess ill get into it. The TLDR of it is you can still have a lot of fun with it, and there is huge potential for modding and customisation for which i sincerely hope the devs add official support. Its a unique fun experimental game regardless of how good a detective game it currently is on release (more on that below) Right now "straight out the box" i feel the ai characters will run away and deviate too much from what they're supposed to know and tell you, making it almost impossible to solve.....as you can see by many of the other reviews this zany roleplay aspect is very popular with a lot people- and yes you can have a lot of laughs with this and if you like that idea go nuts but... You can very much much improve the experience (should you be lucky enough to spare the Vram, i recommend a minimum of 8gb) by replacing the llms (*.gguf) with another appropriate llama based model. This is down to you what you choose, but i do recommend a larger more capable one. Be sure to keep the original filename. At one point you could edit the character prompts to customise the game characters, their behaviour and what they know. unfortunately i think they've locked that down now. but you can still have fun and hopefully at some point they'll bring it back. clearly i have fun with this game, and i hope you do to. its definitely worth picking up on sale if your unsure and want to try something very different.

Game is more broken and frustrating recently than ever. it used to be playable and funny now its just waiting 3 minutes for the ai to think of stuff to say and then they talk for like 3 more minutes about a bunch of long winded nonsense. i booted up the game and i was like "im here to solve a murder" then chief gretsky just says hes not cheif gretsky and hes a meta ai language model. this is stupid fix it
