About
You are the Nomad — an elder vampire awakening from a century-long slumber, new to the modern nights. Trapped in your Blood is a stranger’s voice. This entity, a vampire detective known as Fabien, will be your guide to 21st-century Seattle. You will explore the city through his eyes as well as those of the Nomad, as you revisit a cold case from a hundred years ago that is threatening undead and mortal society alike.
Hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, where visceral vampire action meets a neo-noir murder mystery. Navigate the vampire Court of Seattle and its dark underbelly in this action RPG, realized by the BAFTA award-winning studio The Chinese Room.

Blood sustains you and empowers your vampiric Disciplines. You’ll stalk and feed on the city’s population at night. Use your supernatural powers or raw persuasion on unsuspecting mortals to lure them into dark alleys and slake your Hunger. However, be cautious about breaking the Masquerade: revealing your true nature risks reprisals, starting with law enforcement and escalating from there. Remember, you are not the only creature that goes bump in the night.
Experience immersive, visceral combat that rewards various playstyles and approaches based on your choice of vampire clan. Will you engage in close combat with supernatural strength, attack from a distance with blood sorcery, or silently thin the herd like the apex predator you are? Your clan choice will support these playstyles and more.

Enter the World of Darkness and rise through vampire society or rail against it. Experience Seattle - a city full of alluring, dangerous characters and factions, not to mention the mortals at stake in the clash of powers beyond their knowing. In this sequel to the cult classic, your choices, plots, and schemes will determine the balance of power and what becomes of the city and its people.

I haven’t played the first game, so I’m kinda judging without comparisons or nostalgia. At first, the atmosphere feels pretty good, but it quickly falls apart because of the many problems with the world. The city is completely empty: there is almost nothing to do besides collecting uninteresting collectibles. You have to travel everywhere on foot, and it becomes incredibly boring, even when running and jumping across rooftops. Another question is why there are so many people walking around in the middle of the night while the city is supposedly experiencing a “collapse.” The streets are somehow full of pedestrians doing literally nothing. The story seems interesting at first, but it quickly becomes tedious. There are moments when it feels like the game is about to give you an important choice, but then there is no real choice at all. Either there is no alternative, or the game simply makes the decision for you. Most of the lore is delivered through boring notes that I had no desire to read. The combat also becomes repetitive very quickly. The enemies, abilities, and encounters start feeling the same. On top of that, the game is constantly plagued by bugs, performance issues, and horribly laggy animations. The finishing animations drops FPS so it takes literally two frames. It’s absolutely ridiculous. The final insult is that support for the game has already been discontinued, so apparently nobody is going to properly optimize or fix it. However, the game has so many fundamental problems with its mechanics, world design, and overall structure that technical fixes probably wouldn’t be enough to save it anyway. As far as I understand, the original Bloodlines was mainly held back by technical problems. Here, the main problem is the game itself.
Bueno lo he intentado. 🤬
I don't usually write reviews but I had this game in my wish list for so long and because of all the mixed opinions held off until it was on sale to finally give it a go. In my opinion it's a good game. It's definitely not a "choose your own vampire story" like so many people wanted, nor is it a "true successor to Bloodlines" BUT it is a good game. The story is well written, it looks good, travel feels nice, and the combat is honestly not bad. It's a great intro to VtM and gives a good amount of lore for people who might be new to the franchise. Should you pay full price and get all the DLC...probably not (unless your a die hard fan) Should you give it a go on a discount...yes. I know people got their hopes up and it isn't what a lot of people wanted BUT let's be real. It's the best VtM game since the first Bloodlines that's not just a book with extra steps. Hopefully this can bring some renewed interest and potentially inspire someone to invest in making the game we all really want. Also running anround as a parkouring vampire is pretty fun.
I hesitated a lot before purchasing this game because of all the negative reviews. I recognize that the original was incredibly unique with an interesting, layered story with a lot of layered decisions and interesting aspects to the game. I didn't really think that deep about the game and I found that the reviews may have assumed others wanted the second game to be as innovative and unique as the first. I find the story to be immersive and interesting enough. I mostly enjoy bouncing between the characters, though I'd love to be able to do more when playing as one of the key characters. I find that the open world has much much more available to the player relative to the original with enough throwbacks to show that it is a compelling continuation of the game. Overall I've sunk 20 hours into the game and I am about half way through. I could see myself spending another 15-20 hours in the game. Overall I'm super satisfied with my sale purchase and cant wait to continue stalking the streets of Seattle sucking the blood of unsuspecting or foolish victims.
A suprisingly worthy successor to VtMB. The story is multi-layered and interesting and the setting and ambience are really good. The only negative thing I have to say is that combat sometimes feels a bit repetitive, especially in the early game.
I'm 16 hours in and I am enjoying this game. It plays as two different games; in one aspect you're an elder than move and leap, and deal damage above the rabble, and in the other aspect you're a detective trying to piece together clues and your fractured memories. You can either burn through the story or explore to find glyphs, enemies, and side quests. The ability to run, leap, and glide across the rooftops of Seattle's skyline is incredibly fun.
Dobrý příběh. Špatná optimalizace. Špatná grafika. A, bohužel, velmi průměrná hratelnost.
