The game is objectively bad. It's horribly balanced, and poorly made. The game literally killed its studio it was such a colossal failure. It's janky, the animations are crap, its a buggy mess that is literally unplayable more often than not. The characters are all bad and one-dimensional tropes. The game gets lore wrong, how powers work wrong, and it has a deleterious effect on the TTRGP community. The only reason you all like this game is because of nostalgia, memberberries, and autism. Stop pretending this trash is good. It's bad, like all VtM games.

SO... some things up front-- you NEED the unofficial fan patch to play this and it'll still be plenty buggy, so get used to console commands. The last quarter of this game is filled with endless combat sections that really drag, and has some pretty unkind depictions of chinese people/culture, past even the usual "2000s kung-fu movie parody" aesthetics that were popular at the time. Ok now... that all being said... The game is just really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. In good faith I can't give this game a full 5 stars for all the trouble that it is, but it's writing on vampirsm is often thought provoking. The good parts of this game are fantastic, and the bad parts are abysmal LOL. Somewhere in there you find a pretty damn good RPG with a ton of style. The personality of this game is so vibrant that you have people duct taping it together with their own hands for FREE just to continue to get it to run, and that should count for something.

VTMB is simply FANGtastic! Puns aside, it's genuinely one of the best games generally, one of the best RPGs and the best vamprie game ever made.
