Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 21 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

游戏是好游戏 可惜自带的中文腾讯独占(南极恶禽赶紧死) 这个系列还能有后续么?(顺带2&3什么时候移植steam啊)
Highly recommended strategy RPG. Its gameplay is really unique and creative. I haven't found something similar anywhere. The upgrade system is super satisfying. Choosing what troops you'll dispatch based on their relationships, attributes, class, and skills is brain scratching but good! All the thinking is kind of reserved for the first two-thirds of the experience, though. Once you understand the systems well enough, you'll breeze through most maps with an "A" grade. (That's a positive for me.) It's rewarding to easily crush the enemy you had a hard time dealing with before. It's a shame the third game is not fully fan translated yet. Hoping Valkyria Chronicles 2 and 3 find their way to PC, as they are stuck on the PSP.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Valkyria, Valkyria May the bloodline live forever Valkyria, Valkyria Bless and protect our fertile land
Valkyria Chronicles is a game that has a special place in my heart. Even with the stiffly acted and oddly paced cutscenes the delivery of the actors still manages to pull you're heart strings. The world and story is lovingly crafted, and it helps that the artstyle helps holding up the game a decade later. (Like the cute detail of letters appearing from shooting weapons like it's a comic book! seeing the Mags M30R go "RATTA! RATTA! RATTA!" is just awesome! the watercolor painting style of the CANVAS engine is just delightful, with the artstyle alone making valkyria chronicles easily one of the most unique IPs out there. But the artstyle is only second place to the game's world crafting itself. Set during a fictional anime version of WWII is where you will really see the highs of this game, with your main characters of squad 7, it being extra heartbreaking when you read the character bios, the game always reminding you that your soldiers are made up from normal everyday people (Farmers. teachers, bakers, and even children). the game/story doing a excellent job of showing us the cost of war, with even one cutscene showing us that the enemy we are fighting are just as human as us. The fantastical elements of the narrative will always be broken up by heartbreak, as any good war story should. (And i won't lie, this game makes me cry all these years later). And now we come to the gameplay and yeah not much to say it's pretty good. Not perfect mind you! the game can sometimes be really bad at explaining mission objectives. (And good God did i wish for a way to speed up the enemy turns or skip dialogue you've already heard). And the ranking system is a bit too idiotic in my personal opinion, with it being based on how many turns it took you to beat a mission and not you're kills or if you took all enemy camps. So never feel ashamed for cheesing the game and scout rushing. (Become one with the cheese, let yourself be molded by it. Also the reason Maximilian lost was because he relied too much on the valkyrian powers, we won because we relied on O R D E R S). So yeah in my biased opinion this game get's a perfect 10/10!
最高に面白いゲームです!
A decent game overall, but calling this one a strategy is crossing the line. Why? Because for some weird reason the only thing that matters in terms of scoring the mission is the number of turns you took to finish. Missions are incredibly linear, with a single "correct" approach and solution, that incetivises bum-rushing the objective while utilising maybe a third of your actual deployed troops. Feels like you're depriving yourself of content.
Game crashed and that's how I found it there's no autosave.
Least fun I ever had in a game like this. It feels more like a puzzle game with loads of trial and error than a tactical rpg that rewards experimentation. Not fun. At least for me.
Valkyria Chronicles starts by making a promise of a dark and rough story about war. Then it bails into a cheesy anime plot. It also goes on longer than it should, after chapter 14, it felt like a slog. I have to say, it’s okay. I like the game. I recommend it. But it is, sadly, an anime game, and as such it feels lazy in certain ways: too much unnecessary grinding, and gameplay that’s drowned by stats and number menus. That’s something I’ve seen across anime games in general, like the Shingeki no Kyojin games, which have extremely fun gameplay buried under boring systems that add nothing. If you look at Valkyria Chronicles through the lens of anime, though, it’s pretty good and complete. The characters fill a lot of tropes and archetypes. There’s even a beach episode. They even made an anime from the game later. Gameplay-wise, the only thing I have to compare it to is XCOM. “Anime World War II XCOM” is a great description. As an anime it’s great. As a game it’s good. As a WW2 story it is just decent.
