Finally, this great game did return from the dead. If you are a fan of Battlezone , try this. You have great game about a powerful Hover Tank, fight on different planets and RTS elements like teleport in supporting troops and take outposts.
Had to buy instantly. No crashes and you can force AA from the desktop. It's good to be back.
Works correctly on Windows 10, and is one of those games that followed the very interesting "RTS from the field" approach that has frustratingly fallen into decay lately. Recommended, but don't expect incredible mechanics, just a solid game, with enough of a story to hold it together, and persistent upgrades across your roster, as well as the main command tank. A visionary game for its time, and a solid game at the core.
Still have the cd but cant get it working on newer operating systems. never realized steam had it. thank you steam for brining back another one of my childhood games.
This is an ancient vehicle FPS/TPS with RTS elements. Control a hovertank with various weapons and guide other units to blow up things. While the game does run under Windows 10, the developers have done nothing to modernise it, so the resolution won't go beyond 4:3 low res options, so it falls below current standards. Other games from the same era have been updated to stay a bit more current, so there's no real excuses here, yet they are charging $10 for this. And there's the problem. You can't charge $10 for nostalgia.
This game at least works.
Ein Klssiker in neuem Gewand. Top !!!!
This game brings back so many memories... while downloading, I grabbed the old original CD from it and stare at it remembering all the joy it gave me. Quite a nice FPS with some RTS elements. All Im writing now about the game comes from playing it as a teenager way back in the 90's: You control a hover tank, called "The Wraith" navigating thru a 3d map, while trying to conquer bases for yourself. At said bases, you'll be able summon buildings that will provide units for you to use in combat, such as infantry, tanks and aircrafts. While you can destroy every single enemy without the aid of those units, missions will take way more time than they should, and in some it will be nigh impossible to complete them, without some extra units as distraction/fodder. A modern game that can be used as a comparison is Tooth and Tail, as in that you control a commander (but in this game you can actually attack) that has to build and manage resources, and can command units to aid in the battle.
This a truly amazing game for an older RTS
