innovative and exciting! a very unique experience
Unknown Number is a rare thing: a genuinely innovative game. It's got great puzzles, excellent voice acting and a gripping, witty story. And the whole thing sounds beautiful - it's an engaging and satisfying world to exist in while you play. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something different.
not often tempted to write a review but am a big fan of the puzzle genre which can be a bit same-y, so it's nice to see a game trying for genuine innovation. It seems to care as much about puzzle as it does about story so makes for a really refreshing, thoughtful and complete feeling game. Excited to keep going with it !
Only just started but already feels different to pretty much anything else I've played, immersive and interesting. A really cool idea and I can't wait to play more.
Addictive game format! The voice recognition adds a new level of engagement.
FULL VIDEO REVIEW: https://youtu.be/38gUUR9Un_o The highlight of Unknown Number: A First Talker has got to be the voice actors with a close second the sound work. These actors, from the beginning, sold it and had me hooked and invested with all the events. See, therefore I don’t answer unknown numbers or respond to voicemails from people I don’t know in real life. By the end of everything, I was so conflicted with the decisions and choices I had to make. When I first came across Unknown Number: A First Person Talker, I was racking my brains on how they would be able to pull off a video game using my voice to control the story would work. I would say, they worked it out quite perfectly. Then, after playing the demo, I was so excited for the full game. It was well worth the wait. I love fresh new, innovative, unique takes on how video games are approached! Well worth a try! Confident Gamers HIGHLY RECOMMENDS Unknown Number: A First Person Talker.
Fun innovative game. I like the voice acting and the format. I hope they make more games in this genre from now on. Would recommend.
This game was so different to anything I've played before - in a good way. I wasn't sure how well the voice controls would work but I was pleasantly surprised and found only one or two occasions where it misheard me. I cannot fault the voice actors who did an amazing job and made you feel immersed despite the story mainly being handled via audio only. The only downsides for me were 1) the "another phone" puzzle at the end - I figured it out almost straight away, but then doubted myself which took away the immersion, however, I've seen that the developers have since added in an alternative solution to this which is great - and 2) the length of the game - I would have loved more!
Bom.
A fun little adventure with the added novelty of most of it being voice based (The voice controls work mostly okay too!). Well worth the small asking price for a few hours entertainment.
