About
UnDuster is a tight precision platformer with two versatile movement abilities - a fast 8 directional dash that sucks you wherever you need to go, and a sustained omnidirectional blast that can blow you away from any hazard.
Gertrude Gummers has lived a long fulfilled life, and the light at the end of the tunnel (retirement) draws ever nearer. But the time has come for one last job. The clients for her maid service have always been eccentric, but the grand secluded manor she has arrived at is more ominous than most. Nothing her custom-built Septuple-A battery powered vacuum can’t handle though.
Explore and escape the depths of a mysterious dungeon
Collect stickers to adorn your 3D vacuum
Wavedash (she ain’t got time for sub-optimal routes)
UnDuster was originally made for the BIGMODE Game Jam in 2023 where it placed #8 in Fun and won a Judge's Choice certificate for "Least Dusty Platforming."

The game is pretty damn fun. The game is super smooth to control and it's so rewarding to get good at it. Advanced movement tech comes naturally as you play and the game is perfect for speedrunning

Very fun game, mouse controls started out janky and by the end I was very surprised by how skilled I had become with them.
The final level was loads of fun and was honestly more of a victory lap than a challenge at that point.
Would love to see some polish on hitboxes, especially spike corners and the corkscrews that are activated by sucking.
I am Gertrude Gummers
i refuse to believe that i actually got to play floor 2
Like Celeste, but a lot better
YEA, this game shows your blowtime in the end-stats on every level 10/10 gaming experience!! Joke aside, this is a great platformer, the last level made me rage a couple of times though... . And the integrated Speedrunning-Timer makes it easy to SR (for someone who struggles to manage LiveSplit this is a very welcome feature, thanks for the addition :) ). My main speedrunning game for now.
This is a really cool and unique spin on the platformer formula, and it's really cool seeing all of the speed tech that can be incorporated into the gameplay, such as a similar technique to the wavedashing of Celeste, and generally just very fun! I've only gotten to level 4 so far, but I'm looking forward to my next play session! Spoiler So I just finished the game, and I quite enjoyed the rest! One thing I will say, however, is that the unduster felt unfairly fast at times, and due to its unlimited length and huge width, it got frustrating to get tripped up on wall corners. This was my observation for 2 rooms in particular, the final room and the tall room with many springs (due to lack of better explanation). Another nitpick I have is the decision to make the vacuum suck 8 directional but the blow omni directional.
This game deserves a lot more attention ! Plays like a charm
my friend helped make this game, its pretty good, just waiting for the skibidi toilet collab
