About

A mood heavy action-adventure, Unbroken takes players on a grindhouse journey to Crests Edge in search of the traitor Nielsen. With multiple routes to achieve your goal (or even abandon it), the ascent to one of the multiple endings will be a memorable one.
With a unique lore structure and one of a kind audiovisual composition, Unbroken will take players on a trip.

With its social structure and customs, choose and forge your path through Crests Edge.

Over the top Tarantino'esque visceral bursts of violence. String your combos in a brief, stylish ballet of death before moving on to the next one.

With a timeline that progresses with gameplay, events and backstory evolve based on players' actions and related powerplay happening in the background.

The trail has led you to the kingdom spanning the North, far away from your homeland.
Your word is your bond. You will track down the traitor Nielsen, seeking refuge somewhere in Crests Edge, and bring him to justice, dead or alive.
But be wary, Stranger: the realm is now engulfed in chaos. Along with the Feast of the 3rd Moon and the ongoing Earl's Rebellion, your journey will not be for the faint of heart. You will have five full moons to complete your quest. The clock is ticking!
You will prevail. Take up your arms and go forth and uphold the honour of our crest.
I Will Pray Day and Night For Your Safe Return...
The realm of Crests Edge is large and diverse. Featuring many biomes, classes, and so forth, you will experience how the Township evolves with your ascension to your goal.
It is worth noting that due to the severe classism in the realm, you will witness stark contrasts in technological advancement, architecture, style and attire, and the attitude and language of the characters you encounter.
The lowest-poorest regions are similar to those of medieval times. In contrast, the higher you get, the larger the technological gaps become, with the wealthiest regions being more akin to industrial Victorian / WW1 times.
The game's style is a next-gen re-imagining of classic sprite-based FPP games such as Tekwar, Disruptor(PS1), Witchhaven, etc, whilst aiming for an interpretation of how one would remember these games through rose-tinted glasses. So keeping the sprite retro aesthetic, whilst bringing it into modern times with advanced shaders and lighting, physics and ragdolls, destructible environments and in synch with the dynamic jazzpunk OST, Unbroken is sure to leave an impression.

A unique gameplay flow and vibe. Neckbreak players ought to feel right at home.
The Resin: the potent oils will grant you bullet time in varying forms. Use them wisely, applying the right resin at the right moment can be a matter of life and death
The resin kick: give your enemies a free flying lesson or turn multiple inanimate objects into deadly, large caliber projectiles.
Classist-based lore. With ascension into the realm of Crests Edge, players will witness an evolution of technology, style, language, architecture, and more
A jazzpunk Original Dynamic Soundtrack by Roland Redwood (previous works include Sinless, Neckbreak
Punch through system: combat will be juicy with volumetric blood splashing in all directions, and see through holes ripping through your enemies directly at the point of projectile entry.

This is probably one of the best hidden gems I've seen in a long time. It feels like its taken Hotline miamis style of fast paced die and retry combat and mixed it with the exploration and mystery of a souls game. It is very hard to start off with combat wise but It won't take long to adjust to how it works and ultimately becomes very satisfying when clearing whole rooms with ease. Now it does have some downsides the movement can be a bit janky in some areas, I've gotten stuck on rocks without being able to get off them and had to restart a few times but with it being early access I assume these will be fixed over time. Also one other complaint some areas seem a bit too dark its fine when you have a torch but being shot from something you can't see in the darks never fun. Overall though I'm really enjoying the game so far and will update the review when I've finished it, I just wanted to get something out there since the game has a criminally low amount of reviews and deserves more attention!
I love everything I see so far, though I have to warn anyone willing to buy this against expecting a second Neckbreak. Neckbreak consisted of two parts - the "3D Hotline Miami" part in missions and the occasional "Free Roam" parts. Everything I've seen in Unbroken so far feels like traversing Neckbreak's Free Roam parts, requiring care and punishing recklessness; the feel is closer to Pathologic 1 and 2 than anything I recall. All in all I love the gameplay and the level design, and while I was initially skeptical about the general aesthetic it is starting to win me over too.
A very cool dark Victorian age setting, brutal combat, weapon durability, dodge/parry etc. A very blurry experience though... You're a foreigner sent to find Nielsen. So that's what I'm trying to do. If you die 5 times you get reset back to one of your "bonfires"(?) The game is very vague, but it has a lot of charm imo, and 22 steam reviews just isn't enough. Game runs fine, no stuttering or lag. 1 downside would be this game gets *very* dark at times, wish there was a slider or maybe like a lantern your character could attach to his belt or something to make these pitch black spots a bit more bearable.
Kto nie grał w Unbroken temu siusiak nie staje. Dobra rozwałka.
Wow, this is/will be great! Needs work but I like it in the current state already. I really enjoy suffering. I get lost and stuck in the enviroment, but I love it. Of you are a good human that likes good games you will like this. If you don’t like this you might consider working on your self until you become good and like good games. Get it!
It just released in Early Access, and it's still kinda rough around the edges, but you can already see how cool it's shaping out to be. Personally, I'll wait for the full release to experience the game in its entirety, but I've finished enough levels to see it's already as good (if not better) as Project Downfall aka Neckbreak. The atmosphere is top-notch, guns are loud and punchy, and it's still incredibly satisfying to explode enemies' heads with melee.
So cool, the vibes story and game play are immaculate.
i like parrying the projectiles but also the basic mobs are messing me up if i don't 1 tap em first
