UFO 50 is a collection of 50 single and multiplayer games that span a variety of genres, from platformers and shoot 'em ups to puzzle games, roguelites, and RPGs. Our goal is to combine a familiar 8-bit aesthetic with new ideas and modern game design.
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 28 → 2/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Nintendo publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 22: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Probably the best deal you'll get on the market if you have the patience for 8-bit retro game design. 25USD, 17.50USD on sale, and 50 (possibly more, but no spoilers!) games to try. Puzzle, racing, rpg, dungeon-crawler, top-down zelda-likes, a few metroid-vanias, even tower defense and an idle game. Literally every genre 8-bit can feasibly do, they have it. The music is memorable and catchy (still can't get pilot quest's overworld theme out of my head, nor the camp theme for that matter), and hundreds of hours of content are here, for less than a gig, and less than a nice dinner. Even if you hate 85 percent of the games, that 15 percent will be ones you love, and will make the price tag worth it, so long as you're willing to give the punishing retro difficulty a proper college try. For those who dismiss this collection as nothing more than arcade time-wasters or "ugly", this game isn't for you. If you're hesitant about picking it up because you think giving any time of day to 8bit games is a waste, it isn't for you. If you care more about graphics than fun game design or challenging ideas, this also isn't for you. This isn't said out of disparagement, this game is just meant for a specific demographic, and people who play for the audiovisual experience of it and dislike the retro aesthetic or think it's a waste of time, you will not be swayed by this collection, because it is meant as a love-letter and an attempt to build upon those retro ideas with modern QoL improvements, not change the game altogether to be more modern. So it may be easier for you to enjoy, but you simply won't see the hype the same as others. But if you're among the growing cadre of gamers who appreciate being challenged on many levels, who have the patience to learn the jank and the clunk, you will sink hundreds and hundreds of hours without even realizing it on this "little" gem. And for a smaller subsection of that cadre, the ones who have ADD or ADHD like me, this collection is a godsend. Every genre, at my fingertips, for whatever mood strikes me. Whenever I get bored or frustrated with one, I just move on to another. And for another, even more niche subsection, one which appreciates unfiction and ARGs, funny enough, there might just be a 51st game available. Look real carefully at barbuta and night manor. And maybe, if you beat the hypothetical 51st game, you'll solve the 52nd, and the final true game that completes the parallel to action 52 (the game it is clearly emulating), the meta-game. The real story of what happened to UFOsoft. But that's all I can share, wouldn't want to spoil the fun for those who enjoy the scavenger hunt. ;) To wrap up this unabashed glazing, I'll finish by stating that this is probably one of the most ambitious collections to be created. So many pithy experiences, full of hidden depth and secrets. So many fun things to check out and explore, and so much variety, far more than any other game I've played, modern or otherwise. 100/10, would rate it 1000/10 but combatants and hot foot single player mode both exist on this collection, so I can't rate it any higher than that.
This game truly does something amazing. Mixing the authenticity of bootleg game consoles with fake nostalgia to make minigames that not only are worse than 30 years back, somehow each one gets progressively worse
A fantastic collection of retro games! There's an impressive level of polish across the board, I was amazed by how complete each game feels. There's a lot of variety in the genres represented; I particularly enjoyed seeing games that implement a more modern genre in a retro setting. I completed 40 games and earned 30 cherries. I made a personal ranking of all of the games; my top tier of games has Warptank, Grimstone, Kick Club, Seaside Drive, Pingolf, and Mortol 2. Some of my friends have wildly different rankings; I'm sure you'll find something you'll love in the collection!
So after playing all 50 games I liked the idea of 15~ games But I bothered to finished only 10 games why? I gave up on most games mostly because they offer the "old school" unfairness You died? Well go back to stage 1, oh and for this game you have 50 levels btw I would finish more games if they would reset me back to stage "B" or "world 2" and continue from there instead of a full restart, as I really liked the idea of most of these games. I really didn't want to go through everything again so I just went to the next game after giving it a go My top 3 favorite were lord of diskonia, rail heist and camouflage. Should you get this list huge list of games? Yeah I think you should Especially if you own a steam deck.
my rankings: 50.Combatants (I think It's bad on purpouse but it is REALLY bad) 49.Hot Foot (bushido ball but with combatants ai lol) 48.Onion delivery (would have been fun if it wasn't so clunky) 47.Big bell race (barely qualifies as a game) 46.Block koala (TS IS 50 LEVELS OF PUSHING BLOCKS) 45.Camoflage (block koala but shorter so it's better) 44.Caramel Caramel (It's just way shallower than the other shmups) 43.Attacktics (Diskona but worse in every way apparently ppl like this one) 42.Divers (way too shallow for a JRPG no pun intended) 41.Paint chase (feels a bit too arcadey) 40.Fist hell (kinda just like any other beat em up) 39.Hyper contender (I have no friends) 38.Pingolf (it's golf) 37.Golfaria (it's golf but you have no idea where to go ever) 36.Kick club (I don't get the hype for this one but it wasn't unfun) 35.Devilition (Definitely fun but too much brainpower) 34.Magic garden (way too addictive but also it's just snake) 33.Ninpek (nothing much going on but at least it's not that punishing) 32.Party house (ooh hot take, but yeah I play way too many deckbuiders and this is just mid like where is the removing cards from your deck etc also I don't like the theme and the risk reward mechanic is only even relevant for like the first 5 days) 31.Porgy (ooh hot take #2 but this one never rly made me feel like upgrades made me stronger and you just feel way too weak in general) 30.Rock on! Island (It gets old pretty quickly but is mostly fun) 29.Warptank (It's a puzzle game but is acceptable bc it's not boring af) 28.Mortol II (not as good as mortol, I think the controls are pretty bad like if u want to sacrifice then you can't attack bc it's the same button) 27.Pilot quest (COOKIE CLICKER) 26.Campanella 3 (Really easy compared to others in the series but I guess that makes sense in the narrative if they wanna appeal to a larger audience) 25.Cyber owls (I don't think any of the mission styles could have worked as standalone titles in the collection but together they really work) 24.Quibble race (99% of gamblers quit right before they win big) 23.Rail heist (I like all of the different approaches you can take to break into the train) 22.Waldorf's journey (by far the funniest game in the collection) 21.Bushido ball (a lot of fun, especially since you can ignore the rules and foul the enemy into victory) 20.Star waspir (2nd best shmup in the collection) 21.Seaside drive (best shmup in the collection) 18.Valbrace (doom x dark souls what's not to like) rakshasa (I love the hindu mythology theme, remids me of spelunky HD) 16.Campanella 2 (reminds me of spelunky HD) 15.Planet zoldath (It's a zelda randomiser and I cherried first try so I'm in a good mood) 14.Mortol (single most clever puzzle platformer I have ever played) 13.Velgress (Really addictive but not super fleshed out) 12.Night manor (The LORE) 11.Grimstone (awesome JRPG but use Umbra or you miss like half of the content) 10.Elfazar's hat (It's just nice to have a forgiving game for once also why is ralfador literally moonlord 9.Mini and max (This one is MASSIVE and I love the references) 10.Vainger (porgy take notes the upgrades are so much fun in this one) 7.Overbold (Lowkey better than isaac) 6.Campanella (this one is so much fun but stressful as hell) 5.Bug hunter (so this one is kinda an engine builder and it's everything I wanted from party house but more, all of the builds you can do are a lot of fun, I love to dig holes and erupt them tho) 4.Lords of Diskonia (I'd pay like 80 quid for the next fire emblem if it was like this, the world map board game style is awesome and it feels half deck builder half civ, peak game and super underrarted from what iv'e seen) 3.Avianos (Now this I need as a full game this is peak gameplay) 2.Barbuta (I would totally understand if this is your least favourite game but this game grows on you, you undertand the secrets and learn how to optimise your routes, if this wasn't super clunky and was a full game i'd pay good money for it) 1..Mooncat (mooncat is a way of life, the music, the secrets, the skill ceiling on the movement, the feeling of playing a game for the first time again. This game reminds me of being a child filled with wonder) -1. Miasma tower (Okay but the petscop game clears mooncat easy) feel free to disagree with my takes I love how everyone has completely different rankings for this game, it shows how it has something for everyone (also I have more hours than it says bc I play this on another device)
