It's a neat little love letter to the souls series. The good: The areas feel varied and the level design is solid. Watching the numbers go up feels cathartic, when dealing with the upgrade system. Bearer seek seek lest Basic movement feels fairly fluid. The exception to this is rolling. Game length. First playthrough took me about 7 hours, which feels an appropriate length for this sort of thing. I stood in poison until I died. The bad: Little variety - enemies are pretty basic, and there's only one weapon available. Some of the enemy hitboxes feel janky. This is most apparent on bosses The menus are a bit clunky. So I recommend picking it up if you want to keep yourself busy for an afternoon or two, it's worth the price.
Picked this up on a whim and wow, I have to say this was a super pleasant surprise. The game play feels excellent, felt very at home and I'd be comfortable saying it nails the fundamentals of souls-like combat better than a lot of even AAA games. Individual mobs are fairly weak but level design and enemy placement leads to a lot interesting encounters. No secret walls (that I'm aware of) but there's a lot of nooks and crannies, and a few trickier hidden things to find. The game is fundamentally fairly linear, but the verticality, placement of shortcuts, and little one off side areas all work together to do a great job of breaking things up. Slight spoilers here for a later area
combining a poison swamp with a Sen's Fortress style tower climb was evil and I hated it, and I mean that in a good way. The traps felt way more real than the giant floor buttons that scream at you from across the room in Sen's, definitely fell for nearly every single one of the trapdoors. You can spot them 100% of the time if you look closely, though.
Loved the tetris block upgrade system. Honestly such a wild idea for a souls-like and it works perfectly in place of equipment/level ups, while allowing easy respeccing of your build on the fly. I really enjoyed all of the bosses, especially the final and post-game bosses. Both felt challenging without being insurmountable. Definitely recommend bringing an evasion upgrade if you're struggling with dodge timings in those fights, the loss of one attack upgrade is well worth the trade-off. OST and Sound Design won't blow you away, but they're good and I'll probably have the boss theme stuck in my head for a bit. Overall the experience was quick, bug free, and fun. Excellent work from the devs, I look forward to seeing what they make next. Would strongly recommend this to any souls fan looking for something solid and simple.

I really like this game
bloody great
An underrated souls-like game which needs to be in the spotlight! Unique art style with intuitive controls to keep the game from feeling like a clone. A nice challenging game for my library. Will continue playing!
I lost my mind playing this game. This review was written by my last brain cells.
Actually bad. Maybe if the enemies had ending frames or limited stamina it'd be like Dark Souls, but they just keep going if they connect. Shame, I had high hopes for this.
Highly enjoyable game if you're looking for a challenging yet rewarding experience. It looks like a King's Field HD remaster, but with faster gameplay like Dark Souls. The game is well balanced, the areas are fun to explore and everything can be achieved or found without googling for the solution thanks to subtle hints. Give this game a try and please pre-order a Pyra! In just about Two Months™ it will be yours, Undies can confirm :D
Welp, the final boss gave me days of anxiety afterwards, but it was so worth it! I love the level-up system in this, music is great and the bosses will kick your butt!
Playing this game made me think that you don't need fancy graphics to make a good game. Don't get me wrong this game is pretty rough around the edges but if you enjoy soul's-like games, it's a fun little adventure.
