Two months is a hard but fair challenge with an irreverent tone and a unique character progression and customisation. The bosses are challenging and varied but at the same time the upgrade system allows you to approach them in multiple ways, whether you want to focus on evading and poking at the best opportunity, bulk up your health and tank while being aggressive or even turtling with your shield. There is a escalating challenge throughout the environments with enemies, map design and hazards becomes more complex and deadly but can be raced through once your familiar with them. I've not experienced any major bugs or slowdown throughout my game play and the only thing I'd really want as an addition would like the option to create and swap between upgrade presets.
Easily worth the asking price. Loved the game through and through.

Do not let the graphics fool you, this is a amazing take on the souls-like genre with a intresting mechanic for making your character stronger, Its simple, But what it lacks in variety it well makes up for in good level design and creativity.
Pretty cool game!
Two Months is one of my favorite 'souls-like' experience I've had
At first glance it comes off as an old blocky PS1 game, but happily surprises more often than it disappoints with a unique leveling system and a fun feeling of discovery as you move through its structured world. That said it also doesn't come without it's own shortcomings. Unfortunately, with it's samey blocky artstyle, I felt somewhat fatigued at times going through its very familiar looking corridors. To help alleviate it's familiar looking corridors are the very areas they take you. It's level design is fun and just like other 'soulslike' games discovering a shortcut you really needed feels great and deserved for all the suffering you've just been put through. Seeking out chests within the games areas can gift you a variety of upgrade blocks to level your build and a very helpful item called a "Grid Expansion" that once obtained, expands your upgrade grid to allow even more upgrade blocks to be slotted in. Two Months combat is very straight forward. You have a light attack, a strong attack, a block, and a roll. The sword and shield you have are your best friends to the very end. Playing patient and waiting for the right time to strike is always the best option when it comes to Two Months mobs. Besides a few enemy types most mobs you'll come across are just a variety of colored versions of the same enemies you fight. These colored variants attack the same but will either give a debuff like poison or have another effect like draining your coffee(health flask). It would've been nice to have a bit more in enemy variety but for what we get here it's acceptable. Now, Bosses. Some of the boss's difficulty can definitely be attributed to the arena you fight them in. Like rolling off the platform into a floor of spikes or getting smacked off by the boss's attacks. Even at some moments I was rolling off of the boss arena because I was locked on the boss and with the angle I was rolling it coursed me off. It's moments like these that I found extremely frustrating and tested my patience with the games mechanics. Once I came to a better understanding with its mechanics and controls it definitely made my time in Two Months a lot more manageable. Like other souls games, finally beating that boss that was kicking your ass for the longest time is always the best feeling. talking bout you Winfield! Overall I think Two Months is a very fun 'soulslike' game that differs from others on the market with its unique leveling up mechanic and its fun level design. Though it has a few issues here and there it never adds up to completely sour the whole experience, especially with a price so low! I can absolutely recommend this game at it's current price of $7.99. Even more so at a discounted one. I look forward to undies next game with excitement.
My first ever souls-like game and I'm very glad it was! I was worried it wouldn't be my kind of game but now I know why so many people like souls-like games! It's very rewarding when you kill things and the level design is very well thought out. Plenty of secrets hidden about. Never felt grindy or impossible (expect maybe during one particular boss >:I ) but once I figured it out it was so exciting. I know multiple times I went WOO when the words VICTORY came up. So I highly recommend those who enjoy good souls-like mechanics to play this! :D I can't wait until the next game!
Surprisingly solid for what it looks like. Bosses (and some regular enemies too) tether on challenging/annoying but their attacks are really well telegraphed so it's mostly fun. Looks a bit unpolished (a bunch of times there's a path splitting into two, where one is simply a pointless dead end) but I enjoyed my time with it so I'd recommend. Reminds me of NOSE a bit, not as good as that though.
the pyra must be assembled fun little game with a neato upgrade mechanic that will haunt my mind min maxing the worst possible builds haven't played much dark soul but i think this is the best one simple and charming, soundtrack will haunt my mind as i cry out after dying to the same enemy a dozen times (i do not adapt, i overcome)
I found this game through one of Iron Pineapple's videos - as a soulslike connoisseur I keep up with those videos and grab anything that looks interesting, which this absolutely did. It didn't disappoint. Although it wears its Souls influence on its sleeve, the game has a lot of unique and interesting ideas. The levelling system is by far the most unique I've come across in any game, the setting of the game (especially as someone who used to work in tech) is very cool, and the level design is chock full of surprises. The game isn't without its shortcomings. More weapon variety would have been very welcome, and there isn't a great deal of enemy variety. But considering the fact that it's an indie game and the game's merits outweigh these, they're easy, at least for me, to overlook. I'd recommend this game to anyone that enjoys soulslikes and innovative gamemaking.
