Feels and plays like the new bioshock
Twisted Tower is one of my new favorite games! The eerie setting, spooky encounters, and demented Mr. Twister have kept me on the edge of my seat while trying to make my way through the tower. I personally love the Big Band/40s music in the background (reminds me of BioShock and gives me an eerie feeling when trying to survive in a hellish place). The creative weapon choices (love the Marble Magnum!) give me great satisfaction as I blow away all those nasty spiders, lunatic clowns, and many other crazy creatures (the fire-breathing Sea Horses are insane!) that relentlessly attack you along the way. I have more to go, but I’m looking forward to conquering the tower!!! I highly recommend this game!

Cinematic masterpiece 📽️ Lights 💡 Camera 🎥 Action 👊🏻🔫 This game is fire & fun 🔥
An atmospheric survival shooter with touches of BioShock, but generally quite straightforward. It’s a return to when games were simply fun, without any extra drama. A guy has to rescue his girlfriend from a theme park tower and a mad, evil actor with a twist. Highly recommended and fairly priced for its length.
A really enjoyable (and cheap!) Bioshock-lite, highly recommend!
A fun, atmospheric instant classic. Twisted Tower feels quite different from a lot of recent indie releases. It puts a strong focus on story, setting, and immersing you in a strange and memorable period piece. This game has an insane amount of polish and juice, which I wouldn’t expect anything less from a Thomas Brush game. The story is a unique mystery thriller. Not quite a horror game, but definitely not for the faint of heart either. If you’re looking for a fun, enjoyable, immersive experience that doesn’t stray too far from the norm in terms of gameplay, Twisted Tower is 100% worth checking out. Steam doesn’t have numbered ratings, but I’d give it a strong 9/10. Would recommend! Great job Thomas!
Excellent jeu , la mise en scène est extrêment abouti, j'adore Bioshock et j'ai retrouvé les mêmes sensations avec un gameplay plus agile et vif. Je le recommande vivement
TL;DR: Twisted Tower is a super fun time, start to finish, at a bargain price. If you like fun ... buy it! --- Twisted Tower, it does what it says on the tin. Openly stated as an homage to Bioshock, which it visually resembles, but with its very own distinct character, that shines in all its (twisted) glory. If you want "Perfectly Normal Well-Adjusted Tower", then this may not be the game for you, just sayin', chap. It's a First Person Shooter reminiscent of those in the days of yore. It is lovingly handcrafted by a tiny team, who put their heart and soul into it, and it shows, big time. I was going to say that there are precious few games made like this, but, in truth, it is one of a kind. I played through the entire experience in 7.9 hours, and had an absolute blast. The pacing of the game is near perfect. I felt sufficiently challenged at times, but never overwhelmed or frustrated. Completing any given task at hand is met with a welcome reward. The whole game works together like a symphonic orchestra, playing just for you, the player. There's a good range of weapons to choose from, and, surprisingly, new weapons are handed to the player throughout the entire game. Each of which can be upgraded in a consistent variety of ways to enhance their capabilities. Unsurprisingly, since this is me playing/reviewing, if the situation can be effectively handled with a mallet, then that is my weapon of choice (it saves on ammo, just sayin'). I spent a lot of time breaking all the breakable things, and trying, very hard indeed, to break the unbreakable things. Popping all the balloons, knocking over the stanchions, and making sure I smashed up every single camera in sight (whilst being told specifically not to do so by my twisted host). Hitting stuff with a mallet never gets old, for me, at least. Which includes applying said mallet to the recently demised mascots, some of whom can really tick me off (I am looking at you, Mr. Quackers). There's a rather satisfying thud, and squishy sound, followed by the (very justly dispatched) mascot flying ragdoll-like across the room, or, better yet, into the deep dark void below, where they surely belong. The variety of enemies is just right, and you can learn how each one (mis)behaves in order to deal with their shenanigans in the appropriate manner, even when they burst forth completely unexpectedly from behind walls and such (as they are wont to do). The sound is excellent in its design (headphones enhanced my experience quite a bit), and helps to announce which enemy you are about to encounter, even before they come into view. The music sets the mood for every delicious moment. Whether it is tense, in anticipation, dramatic, during battle, or relaxed, during the quiet breaks between activity, you always know exactly how to feel at any given time. This is one of the greatest aspects of Twisted Tower, you are never put in a situation where you have no clue what is going on, what you are supposed to be doing, or where you are supposed to go. Whether it is the word "RUN" written on a wall in giant letters with an arrow indicating in which direction you are supposed to, or a trail of tickets leading you to the next waypoint, you are never lost. It is this care for the player which makes the entire experience feel like you are, in fact, an honoured guest, albeit at a rather *twisted* tower. As such, I will be returning to this establishment again, and again, for more doses of (twisted) fun. Kudos!, Bravo! and Encore! (9/10)
The fact that the world reacted to me was really rewarding. Thank you so much for adding collision to so many environmental props and rewards to banging on stuff with the hammer in the intro. It makes exploration fun. I'm only about 30 minutes in, but I can already tell this is going to be fantastic! So much polish and atmosphere! Would recommend.
This might be my best game of 2026, its absolute Gem. Bioshock-like games are few and this just fills the spot. The gameplay, music, art direction, story, everything is so good and well made. The game lengh is just right and it doesnt feel like its dragging or stretching itself. The game takes about 5-6 hours but all of them feel great and you come back to play it again. I need more games like these this might be my most favorite genre. Please buy it you wont be dissapointed.
