Very fun and original idea. The twin stick mechanic with two players is hilariously difficult to learn, but there's some serious fun in doing so. Especially with someone else. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a fun and unique co-op experience.
Twincop is a special game, and part of a revival of local co-op games I've been seeing recently. It manages to capture the fun of co-op with a twist: 2 controllers, one playable character. That seems like a recipe for chaos and Twincop embraces that, with zany attacks, a popping neon 80s aesthetic, and a truly unique gameplay hook. Not to mention a smooth sync wave soundtrack. The result is mayham and destruction and shouting and laughing. This is a fantastic game for parties, as the mayham is entertaining for the audience as well, maybe more so in my experience. The writing is a hilarious satirical take on 80s and 90s buddy cop and action movies. The devs even let the player in on some of the fun and a way I'll let you find out for yourselves. Twincop is a BLAST with friends, and obviously designed for two players. I appreciate also that the devs took the time to add single player options while still putting tweaks on it to compensate for your missing Twincop buddy. Adding the tweaks was a smart way to give a different experience solo as well as a fun challenge option. Righly recommended!
Great couch co-op game!!!!! I had so much fun playing this game with friends
I have a soft spot for local coop games and my brother and I had a lot of good laughs playing this. From the hilarious irony of competing to snag friendship bracelets to confusing the Police Chief with nonsense constructed by the sentence-fragment response system, TwinCop knows what it is and hits all the right beats. If you enjoyed GTA II or Hotline Miami, like playing games with a friend, and hate games with extra fluff, you should pick this up.
TwinCop is the best co-op game I've ever played. The story is hilarious and the mini-games are ridiculously fun. It's the perfect couch co-op for anyone that wants to control one cop between 2 players and fight pontoon boats.
Awesome game, super fun to play with a friend (Though the single player is perfectly fine, you're missing out if you don't play coop!) Lots of visual polish, and everything you do has oomph. The controls take some getting used to, though that's mostly because coordinating with player 2 is necessary to get anywhere. They really get a lot of mileage out of the dual control mechanic, as it includes everything from movement, to minigames, and even dialogue choices! Have I mentioned this game is hilarious? Definitely recommended.
DISCLAIMER: I'm friends with the developers Twin cop is a cool co-op game and a good single player twin-stick shooter. Having played through it using the single player option I would still definitely recommend giving this game a try even if you don't have someone to play with. A couple of the mini-games are a little difficult to control in single player but it was intended for co-op, so kinda expected. The story is pretty well written with some good jokes and its nice that the dialogue actually responds to the options you picked. Gameplay wise its a fun twin-stick shooter with just the right amount of breaks in the fighting to keep it fresh. The different combinations of twincops you can try out and an arcade mode also give the game some good replay value. Overall I would definitely recommend checking it out!
TWINSANITY!!!!!!!!
Bug - When I run the game, I get to the Insert Coin title screen and can't continue. I've tried every key on my keyboard over several restarts and nothing happens. At this point, it is "literally unlayable." As it's occurring for my buddy as well, I don't know what to make of it.
Me and my bro had a blast playing through this game. Tons of variety. Usually it's a twin stick shooter but other times it feels like Warioware or GTA or Metal Gear. Really funny dialogue too, and the music is great. Gotta say I did feel kinda weird shooting innocent civilians but in a good way. 5/7 perfect game
