Twin Peaks VR

"Please Remember to be polite" Ok I'll tone it down a little bit.... This game is a travesty to everything Twin Peaks or David Lynch stands for. It could hardly even be called a game. The fact this game has Mostly Positive reviews is obscene, it's like walking through a bunch of crappy VR Chat Recreations of random Twin Peaks locations but made by someone who hasn't even watched the show. Random ♥♥♥♥ happens from random parts of the show and it expects you to enjoy that. Oh cool look at that JPEG of that White Horse outside the Red Room. It doesn't even get the atmosphere or the locations themselves right AND THATS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR A TWIN PEAKS VR GAME. Not to mention the clunky and unfinished locomotion and physics interactions. Oh man we don't have the technology to have any actual characters in. There was a fan game that got farther AND BETTER than this in a few months, this took 2 years. It is both the worse VR Game I have ever played and the worst piece of Twin Peaks media ever made. Please do not support this mess. God I wish that other Twin Peaks VR Game was still being made but Showtime gave money to these fools instead to someone who actually cares and DMCA'd the fan game. The guy making that fan game is now homeless and has no money. Thanks Showtime. This game is not even worth a dollar do not give them money for this.

How dare you insult the legend David Lynch with this half-assed attempt at a paid demo. There's no heart or soul in this.

Очень ленивая поделка во всех отношениях. Сравниваю с тем же Westworld. Тот же жанр интерактивной экскурсии, без игрового процесса, что само по себе не плохо. И продвижение сюжета, только когда ты насмотрелся и отвернулся, тоже удачная идея. Но в игре мало объектов и вообще локаций. На музей для фанатов не тянет. По реализации тоже все небрежно, контролы и взаимодействие, наложение музыки. Чего стоит перекрывающее взгляд окно обучалки в мрачной атмосферной начальной локации. С учетом сказанного, в целом игра не портит впечатление от материала. И погружение есть, еще бы в VR его не было. Если будет на распродаже, ознакомиться можно.

If this was a free product, or simply a fan made tribute, I might be able to recommend this. As a fan of the series, I certainly enjoyed getting to see some of the locations rendered as virtual spaces. But it is disappointing in every other way. It is glitchy, its locomotion option is barely functional, the sticky toggle mechanic for grabbing objects is uncomfortable and distracting, it is devoid of any semblance of a narrative or coherent sense of progression, it barely has any puzzles beyond searching for random scraps hidden throughout a couple of the levels, and the whole thing is over in less than an hour. If you are a dedicated twin peaks fan and don't mind muddling through some truly obtuse amateur game design for the chance to briefly inhabit 6 different Twin Peaks environments (more like 5, as the last level is still part of the Sherrif's Department) then go ahead and check this out. Maybe buy it during a sale. But strip away the 'Twin Peaks' and there is nothing here but a bad, short, boring, broken game.

And for a long time you wouldn't feel anything. And then you'd burst into fire. Forever... And the developers wouldn't help you. Because they've all gone away. In the end, you'd press ALT+F4.

Up front I will say that I heart Twin Peaks. It is my favorite show ever. I am not objective. Pros: You get to "visit" the town of Twin Peaks You can perform a specific action from Episode 8 that makes all the bugs worth it Cons: Buggy as heck Easily worth the $9.99 Watch "What Did Jack Do?" It's brilliant. Free plug there David.

Pas vraiment beau, bâclé et bourré de problème de collision dès qu'on change de pièce. Il n'a strictement aucun intérêt mais devient un objet qu'il faut avoir quand on est fan de la série. En classement des objets Twin Peaks selon un intérêt décroissant il arrive tout juste après le livre de recettes "Damn fine cherry pie" soit presque en dernier. Il n'apporte aucune nouvelle information et n'est relié à rien, il s'agit simplement de traverser 6 décors reconstitués mais complètement vides et sans interaction et d'y relever un ou deux objets (la bague, le journal de Laura, le gant de Freddie...). C'est donc nul mais il fallait l'essayer, comme le livre de recettes...

I am a huge Twin peaks fan and I definitely recommend this game to all Twin Peaks fanatics like me!
