Twilight Oracle

THE UNLIKELY IDIOT AND COMPANY SET OUT TO FIND THE ORACLE! That's the Hook/Tag for this Game. It's a trope that's been done to death but it's not one that's unwelcome in this scenario. I enjoyed my time here with Twilight Oracle, but I would never have bought this full-price. It's not worth just shy of £10. £3 was worth it though, a quick and fun little jaunt and it killed an evening for me. I also wouldn't recommend the OST, the audio's fine but it's not something I feel compelled to own. What I did enjoy was all of the Quality of Life Improvements from Modern Point 'n' Click Games. None of the Sierra Style "Softlocking" where you can go through a game and miss a random item and never be able to backtrack to it thus meaning you've got to start all over again. You can also save at any time comfortable in the knowledge that... yeah, you can screw up and miss things but you CAN go back and fix them provided you know what you missed.

Cool little indie point and click adventure. There were a couple moments when I had to seek out a walkthrough to progress, one of which was due to a REALLY obscure solution and the other was just me missing an item that appears after a trigger event, but overall it's a good ride if you enjoy the genre and can tolerate cash-strapped indie production values.

A goofy, colorful, trippy space adventure featuring four slackers from a high school on a quest to save the world from their teachers. Nice pixel art graphics, competent voice acting, a lot of stylized teenage hit an miss jokes (mostly miss), and nonsensical "puzzles" that will make you try everything on everything quite often. It's also quite short, took me 4 hours to finish, but I let it running to fetch coffee quite often. If playful, laid-back surrealism is your thing, you might like it. For me, it rated "meh" - not bad, but not memorable in any way either. It deserves a positive rating though, because it's very competently done, and lots of love and effort went into it.

Great game, love that it has voice acting, too. By the way, the demo had some frames issue (they went too fast underwater), and here it's completely fixed.

I would like a sequel.

A goofy adventure with witty writing and some crazy object-combining puzzles.

It's a fun little point and click adventure in the old style fashion.

A fun old-school adventure where the visuals are surrealistic but the puzzles are nice and grounded.

As others have pointed out, it's obviously not a masterpiece of the genre and is rather easy, but it's very competent and fun. The '90s adventure feel is there, and that's the most important thing.

I grew up on Lucasarts and Sierra point-and-click games, I played through Monkey Island and Leisure Suit Larry through the 90's and enjoyed every minute of it, and then I tried this cause I got it in a bundle, the only thing I didn't like is how short it is.
