Turbo Overkill is a testiment to how even an Indie/AA title can play and feel as good as a premium Triple-A game. I truly enjoyed being in the shoes of Johnny Turbo. This game is what Duke Nukem forever should've been. Each Episode has its own distinct feel and story that is interconnected, and plays a great role in building the world of Paradise. Even entities like Teratek have a great role to play behind the scenes and adds a lot to the atmosphere. Although the game was having performance issues during the later half of Episode 3, and the enemies got increasingly annoying, I still enjoyed every bit of it. 10/10 if you love fast-paced shooters.
The half an hour long ripper hate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pegging scene was ABSOLUTELY needed. Peak game
The perfect shooter doesn't exi-... My only complaint is that it drags a little in the third act. Otherwise, this game is insanely fun once you get the hang of it! The weapons are amazing, the movement is a blast, it's got vehicle sections, awesome soundtrack, readable enemies and readable movement. Totally get this one :D
🏙️🪚 “An adrenaline-fueled masterclass in boomer shooter design.” 🔫⚡
Turbo Overkill is one of the best modern boomer shooters out there, combining blistering speed, fantastic level design, and enough style to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the genre's heavyweights. The setting is immediately compelling. Paradise is a grimy, neon-soaked cyberpunk nightmare that feels both oppressive and exciting to explore. The visuals are razor-sharp, and the art direction carries the experience just as much as the technical presentation. Every level oozes personality. But the real star is the movement. This game moves at an absolutely breakneck pace. Verticality isn't just an option—it's a necessity. You're constantly wall-running, dashing, grappling, sliding, and launching yourself through arenas while trying to keep track of threats from every direction. Success demands that you use every tool at your disposal rather than relying on a single strategy. The weapons are phenomenal. Every gun feels punchy, impactful, and satisfying to fire, with precise aiming that rewards aggressive but controlled play. The arsenal encourages experimentation, and the sheer momentum of combat makes clearing an arena feel like conducting a violent symphony. What impressed me most is how well the game balances chaos with control. Despite the speed and spectacle, encounters rarely feel unfair. The mechanics are responsive enough that every mistake feels like your own—and every victory feels earned. If you're a fan of boomer shooters, this is an easy recommendation. It understands exactly what makes the genre great while confidently carving out its own identity. Fast, stylish, and ridiculously fun, Turbo Overkill deserves to be mentioned among the very best modern entries in the genre. ⚡🪚🔥
If you into classic shooter (quake 3, unreal tournament, quake live, doom 2016) 10/10 If you into story driven shooter (bioshock infinity) 7/10 You need to know your enemies, weapon power (including your legs) and environment; knowing how to dodge is a must. If you into FPP, you wont regret it.
Fantastic ADHD simulator
Excellent game ! Really Badass :)
