the campaign is only 2 islands, wow the spectacle. each island its a continuation of the previous mission. the idea is okay but should have been an extra "legacy" campaign style or something. the enjoyable part of the challenge to challenge campaign where you get a new scenario, some new or expanded characters, and a new island to figure out how to exploit: is gone in this. Instead you have to continue the previous build without any knowledge of whats next. So when i entered into world war (okay...) i previously thought you wanted houses and business' on your coastline in front of your palace. Naw gotta destroy all this and put in army this, army that, and still rebuild all your homes and business'. I really like the tight budget of these games, i like that there is a need for military. But i didn't need the "challenge" of auto battler command and conquer with all the wasted resources of my last build. Challenge is in quotes bc i could start all over, leave a big blank zone between my palace and the shore, then only fill it in with the new unknown needs i must fulfill so i don't have an excessive amount of rebuilding. the campaign style just lost me on this one. i loved 4 so much, but i'm going to go back to finally finish 3.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've played all of the Tropico games since the beginning, but this is the one I go back to again and again. The balance and re-playability of this one just seem to be superior to all the others, even the newest one. I find myself getting so wrapped up building the perfect island that hours pass by without my realizing it, very easy to get lost in this one. The customization options, the Missions, the Workshop Missions, the sandbox, the ability to create your own customized missions, makes for endless variations. My single, solitary complaint (and it's a small one) is that once your island reaches a certain size - around 3,500 residents - regardless of how happy they are, people just start to leave and stop immigrating. You can have 99 scores on every metric - religion, jobs, housing, healthcare, etc. - no unemployed, no homeless, etc. - and mess with your Edicts and Constitution endlessly, but it's like once the island reaches a certain level of perfection, almost a Utopia-like society, people just leave for no reason. You find your businesses missing workers and can't hire anymore unless you pay foreigners to come, your residential buildings emptying, etc. Anyway - aside from that, it's a heck of a lot of fun to play Tropico 5, highly recommend.
Ah, Tropico—the only game where you can go from a humble island governor to a full-blown dictator with a Swiss bank account so fat it could buy a small country. Tropico 5 is a city-builder, economy simulator, and a political strategy game all rolled into one, wrapped in a thick layer of satire. You’re El Presidente, the ruler of a beautiful Caribbean island, and your job is simple: stay in power by any means necessary. Whether that means building a thriving democracy, running a totalitarian regime, or just embezzling all the funds while sipping rum on the beach—that’s entirely up to you. The game spans several eras, from the colonial period to modern times, meaning you’ll go from pleasing a distant king to dealing with superpowers like the USA and the USSR, all while making sure your people don’t revolt and drag you out of the palace. Elections? Sure, you can hold them… or you can “adjust” the results. Rebels? Let’s just say there are solutions for that. The economy? Well, if things go south, there’s always the Swiss bank account. The humor in Tropico 5 is top-tier. Your advisors constantly make absurd suggestions, your people complain about things like "too many secret police," and foreign leaders will bribe, threaten, or flatter you depending on how much of a problem you are to them. The game doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes it even better when you're making morally questionable decisions while your citizens cheer in the streets. At its core, Tropico 5 is a fantastic mix of city-building, political chaos, and strategic decision-making. One moment you're planning an economic boom, and the next you're rigging elections and sending protesters on "vacation." It's fun, it's ridiculous, and it lets you live out your dream of being an over-the-top dictator without the actual consequences. 9 out of 10 Swiss bank accounts. Viva El Presidente!

Just here for the Banger Music as my feeble mind cant grasp the concept of making Money.
Dominic Toretto doesn't like this, my dynasty member choose to join USA instead stay with her own family.
