It has a few clever puzzles that made it worth my while. Looks and sounds alright. You can do much worse than this, so I mark it as Recommended, but it's a pretty forgettable game, only buy it on a strong sale and under the condition that you can't get enough of puzzle platformers.
Trash TV (so very aptly named) is one of literally thousands of 2D retro pixel platformers infesting Steam and bringing the average quality of all video games down a few notches. Gameplay is exceedingly tiresome, overdone, obsolete and quite dead 2D puzzle platforming. Drop obstacles over laser beams, flick switches, jump up and down, etc etc. Yawn. The developers seem to have gone out of their way to produce bad, sloppy visuals for the game. There's no support for anything beyond HD resolution, so even if the game had decent graphics, that's a fail. They chose to use obsolete retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's also a terrible CRT filter and the game only displays pillarboxed 4:3. There's no excuse for such bad decision making in game development. Perhaps I'm wrong and this is the Analog 4:3 CRT themed retro pixel platformer the industry has been suffering without for decades. But I don't think I am.

Trash TV is a short snack-like experience. It has a good mixture of puzzles, platforming and combat which is contained in an charming visual style. It feels a bit like one of those games that came from nowhere and nobody played before it returned to nowhere, which is a shame because I'd say it's a good experience and somewhat graceful in it's simple gameyness. It's lacking in frills and pretensions and what you see what you get. In some ways it is almost difficult to talk about because of how pared down the design is. Watching the trailer tells you everything about the game and while it's perhaps lacking in surprises it is a good example of a simple idea well executed. It won't change your life, but most things don't and that doesn't make them any less worth enjoying. Just as how with food sometimes all we want is a PB&J at home - sometimes we want a simple game to kill a few hours. Trash TV delivers a solidly satisfying PB&J.

Tags: Platformer Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Short duration. Puzzle oriented. Can get tedious and repetitive to use crates for boosting yourself or disable laser beams. Limited appeal and fun factor. While the concept and the responsiveness of the controls are decent, the game itself does not innovate much and just throws a combination of easy to solve puzzles and the occasional annoying crate throw, or trick move to unlock progression. Platformer players usually complete this under two hours but I would routinely lose patience on some of the puzzles. The audiovisuals are rather bland and give the player only a limited immersion factor. Archiving in hidden library,

Smash TV is a unique platformer-puzzler where the tools you use are guns. Had a lot of fun while playing it, but there are noticeable flaws and bug. For starters, even with all your guns, combat is pointless. Enemies then to be either sponges or you get a ton of them thrown your way. Then when you get hit, you loose control and start running left or right until you hit a wall, then you change directions. This last for around 5 seconds and the only thing you can do is jump. While this does work very well for a platformer, the combat is kinda dull, which is fine since its not the main point of the game. Also the losing control when you get hit could have been used in some really unique puzzles. (For the guns keep in mind that combat is pointless, so only their functionality matters.) The games gives you 8 weapons: pistol, dual smg, shotgun, bolt gun, C4, archer's bow, machine gun, and tv remote. You start with the pistol, a simple pea shooter. The dual smgs are automatic weapons which you fire in both directions. This is literally used once and then its useless. The shotgun fires a spread of bullets and is 100% worthless. The bolt gun can best be described as a sticky grenade launcher, and is also the most useful out of all the weapons. In this game you are imune to explosion damage but you still recieve the knockback. In the game, you use it for its aoe to destroy boxes and to jump over stuff with the aid of the knockback. The C4 is like the bolt gun but it drops C4 on the ground which you can explode by holding down the fire button (which was not well explained). It allows the same freedom of movement like the bolt gun except you no longer need a wall. It can also obviously be detonated remotely, which is used in some puzzles. The archer's bow and the machine gun both seem to be optional. The archer's bow fires in an arc, powering up the longer you charge it, and eventually gains the ability to pierce. A feature that is only needed once in its area. The bow is also useless. The machine seems to be locked behind a puzzle that requires the archers bow, but it can be aquired with the bolt gun because of an obvious bug. The machine gun is an automatic gun that fires in one direction and constantly applies knockback when you fire. The knockback would be useful in a few areas to gain speed but the explosive weapons are much more useful. The tv remote is a weapon that lets you switch between two versions of the room. It is the last one you get and is only used in 2 sections. It's potential is kinda wasted since its is only really used to switch around the platforms in the room. So, out of all 8 guns only the pistol, bolt gun, the c4, and the tv remote is ever used. The game would have been a lot better if it focused on weapons that expand your movement options instead of useless guns that are used for one puzzle. There are also noticable bugs in the end portion of the game. Examples include: tv remote not correctly switching platforms is some areas off the beaten path; game literally crashing if you use the remote in what I think is a secret area; a in game QR code does not work, either becasue of poor contrast or some other reason; mechanical noise not cutting out during the ending. Most of these are excusable since they easily avoided. Also the game ends abruptly. Overall, it was a very good puzzle-platformer and I wish there was more.

Très bon jeu de platefome où l'on incarne un poste de télivision voulant s'échapper d'un centre de recyclage Le seul défaut que l'on peut lui trouver est sa durée de vie très courte: - de 2h pour le finir.
