Trap for Winners

A wonderful adaptation of a real classic in the gamebook genre. I waited more that 20 years to see the best Bulgarian gamebook author to be published in English. This is a dream come true.

Сомнительный визуал, примитивный и абсолютно не нужный геймплей напрочь хоронят достаточно интересную идею. Отдельное неудовольствие испытал от концовки с элементами "сна собаки". Отличная задумка в до обидного отвратительной обертке.

Стал повстанцем геем, закорешился с дорианцами, применил анигуляторную пушку в сельской дискотеке. 10 из 10 а может и 11из10 и 12 из 10 тут как майор стив решит.

Well-polished reimagined version of a classical Bulgarian gamebook. I liked the book, the app is really awesome and actually improves it. Compared to the other apps of Prime Games, in this one the literature is less and more straight-forward and easy to read, which also means a bit less immersive, but this makes the game itself more dynamic and is also cool. The mini-game is mid-core, it is not too difficulty and once you get the basics, you will do fine, unless you are very unlucky. It doesn't get boring, though, it is also very dynamic and you can doze as much as you want in between the other missions. The gamebook is pretty hard, though, be prepared for 2-3 re-reads, by design you cannot one shot this at high difficulty or even medium, because you need to be very well prepared about the challenges and build a good strategy for the sequence of undertaking the missions.

Много приятна преработка на класическата книга-игра на Майкъл Майнкрайм в новата дигитална ера. Запезено е предизвикателството от оригинала и са добавени мини-игри за разнообразие. Колкото до самите мини-игри би било добре да се спомене че се минават с няколко нива и не е необходимо да покриеш изискванията още на първото. Въобще не са предвидени да се минават така. Останалата част от играта си се придържа към класиката като са добавени нови цветни илюстрации, които все пак са в духа да първообраза. Това което ще ви накара да я преиграете са постиженията, тъй като след разкриване на първоначалната история нещата вече са ясни и мистерията изчезва.

In my hour of gameplay, I unlocked one of the endings, and am completely uninterested in the alternatives. The writing is dull, the 'plot twist' is something I guessed correctly on reading the prologue, and the tactical minigame is a godawful exercise in cursing the developer who couldn't work out how to scale the map or move the camera sustainably, and implemented one of the worst user interfaces I've ever seen as a result. The main thing stopping me from asking for a refund is the fact that I only spent $2. Makes me want to be able to go through some of the positive reviewers and mark them 'never trust this reviewer again'. (Which is not to say that they're lying. But I've been reading science fiction for 4 decades now, and anyone fascinated by this story is clearly someone with less exposure to the genre.)
