I have to admit, I was excited when this came out, but it didn't last long. As I am a fan of diesel trains, this DLC had an extreme lack of diesel traction sessions for the 60s, where you could carry out the session using a diesel locomotive instead of a diesel. The lack of a tutorial on how to use the steam locomotives puts me at a disadvantage compared to people who have used steam locomotives on trainz on a regular basis, and due to the lack of diesel sessions. I also found out that many locmotives didn't have the right headcodes for their class, some session objectives were ambigious or pointless to carry out, you could also say a few trains were missing break vans. You could also say yards were full of ghosts they were so empty. Literally nearly every yard would be almost completely empty except for the cars that you're going to pick up and use for your service. I'm only going to recommend this to people who like steam locomotives more then diesel, and don't care aobut displaying a false headcode, that doesn't really need to modify the sessions in any way. Oh, that's another thing, editing sessions, normally if I don't like something, I'd make a fix for it which I'd like a bit more, then save it under a new game, with S&C, it doesn't let me do that. I don't know, I feel that I had more fun out of the Hawes Junction Demo compared to this... But if you're a fan of steam trains, try it, see what you think...

Trainz Settle & Carlisle is a standalone DLC for Trainz, I guess the developers didn't know how to release DLC for games as DLC on Steam or something (except, you know, Trainz itself has over TWO HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS worth of DLC)... anyway it's 14 years old, but looks and feels a lot more like it's 24 years old. For me, it doesn't even work, launching the game and fiddling around enough to set the game resolution properly got it to launch, but then when it launched it just brings up a clunky internal web browser (and let me tell you, if a game has an internal web browser, something has gone very badly wrong and the developers should immediately turn off their PC and put it back in the box, never to be opened again). It's supposed to be a train sim of some kind, but the web browser that came up only shows some kind of wiki about the game, which is very nice, but my goal in loading this game up was to play it, and since I can't do that (and you probably can't either), this is a big fail that I can't recommend. These guys keep pushing DLC as standalone games, and bolting hundreds of dollars worth of DLC onto games that don't even work. My recommendation is that you should not buy this, or anything from these "developers", ever.
THIS IS DOWNRIGHT THE BEST ITEM I HAVE AMAZING EXPERIANCE INCREDIBLE DESIGN SMOOTH RUNNING AND A GOOD SELECTION OF ENGINES... to bad you can't create your own levels but it's ok. TRAINZ 12 HAS NOTHING ON THIs >:)

Settle and Carlisle is a game for all ages although it does'nt let you survey the routes the game is fun and brings cool locos but it could use some editing
Not actually a game. DLC repackaged as an unplayable game.
I thought I was getting a Trainz game, actually got a Trainz DLC disguised as a game, that didn't even allow me to quick drive.
I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
i like it
