95% positive is pure boomer nostalgia. The fem MC is headed-to-the-ER-because-ate-too-many-yummy-looking-crayons stupid. Imagine ed from ed edd and eddy with pigtails on, but the show is just just him going "duuuuuhhhhh i don't know double d", except it's in an MMO meadow, and it goes on for 80 hours.
Very solid 7/10 experience. The story was overall decent, but felt a sizeable chunk of it was padding / could've been taken out; the dialogue and set pieces in some places were also typical anime cringe and subtracted from the main story and also felt dull; however the majority of the game was enjoyable. Looking forward to the second chapter to see what happens and if the criticisms raised get improved upon. The gameplay was really solid however - a lot of fun.
My first contact with any of the trails series and I'd say it's pretty great. I like the story and the combat. My only complain would be that the player doesn't have any impact on the story as far as I see it, but I think it's common for jRPGs.
Great throwback RPG. The turn based combat with movement is a nice change and the characters had me laughing out loud a few times.
Приключение заиграло новыми красками после открытия у Эстель ночнушки, черных распущенных волос и кошачьих ушек. Дороти, кстати, лучшая девочка.
I’ve spent a fair bit of time in the game already, and honestly, there’s a lot to love but one or two things that are unbearable that really demeans the experience. The good first: the art is awesome. It reminds me of my childhood anime cartoons (ie. Pokemon) and the vibe is largely light-hearted even when bad things are happening. The turn based combat system in this game is great and very unique in its own right. The game world is gorgeous and the lore feels like it’s deep enough to genuinely constitute a universe alike to Mass Effect or Lord of the Rings. However, there is one bad part of the game I CANNOT stand. It’s the sexualization of the main characters (male and female). It is constantly rubbed in your face and cringe every time. They will emphasize that they are children then 3 lines later talk about how good looking and attractive they are. The worst part is, this happens randomly and has NOTHING to do with what is happening in the story or the conversation it is taking place in. It feels like it is shoehorned in and for no good reason. My other gripe is the sexualization between the step-siblings. Again, it makes no sense for that stuff to come up. They constantly insist that they see each other in a platonic way, yet for some reason the fact that they aren’t involved with each other is brought up by random characters they meet. This is what I cannot stand with anime. The art is always gorgeous but with tripe like this inserted, it gets hard to take seriously. It’s the Eastern version of Woke stuff. It’s just feels so forced. Anyways, game is a 7/10 but the dialogue is a 3/10 with that crap put in it. Without it, probably 7/10 if you take it like a Saturday morning anime.
