About
Inspect your way through dozens of hand-drawn, hilarious trading cards as you investigate the mysterious Habubis Corporation in Story Mode, or until you ultimately perish in Endless mode!
Use guideline notes, errata memos, reference lists and your own wits to identify if a card is valid or invalid! It'll then be up to you to find the accurate value for valid cards, while destroying invalid cards with the shredder.

As Habubis Corporation's new premier Trading Card Inspector, you're put in charge of quality control for their wildly popular Habubis Trading Card Game. Learn the ropes, rate the cards and rise through the ranks while uncovering a tale of friendship, corporate espionage and murder?!
You'll get to meet shady characters, make tough choices and attempt to discover the truth within 'The Truth', all while dealing with ever-increasing difficulty modifiers that turn the gameplay on its head and mess with your perception.
You'll need to keep a sharp eye open and your wisdom about you as you inspect, appraise, verify and value cards in an ever-maddening world of corporate evil and bureaucracy.

As you progress through STORY MODE, new and exciting gameplay modifiers are unlocked for use in ENDLESS MODE, where you can work to beat your previous score and earn tons of cash to spend in the Habubis Company Store.

With each modifier you enable, the difficulty creeps up, but so too does your payment for each card successfully graded. Be careful that your risk doesn't eclipse your reward!
Work until you die!

There are over 160+ unique, hand-drawn trading cards to unlock, each with their own stories available to enjoy in the Card Gallery.

Oh, and of course there's Plarbo too!

A simple premise that rapidly turns to chaos, but there are great options to tweak to make it as hard or as easy as you want. It was just the right length and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great game! Definitely recommend you play it, and even 100% was pretty fun!
Loving this game. Watched a streamer play and had to jump in myself. The simple premise of evaluating the cards is mixed with fun hazards to make your job harder and give you more to actively manage while enjoying the art and music. Good fun reading about the lore of each card in the gallery with humorous entries for every card.
Enigmatic Egg is the best card in the meta
Trading Card Inspector is an inventive indie simulation title developed by Daydream Gallery and published by Catoptric Games that takes an unusual concept and turns it into an engaging experience. Instead of battling enemies or building empires, players step into the role of a professional card examiner working for a company responsible for a hugely popular trading card game. The premise revolves around carefully evaluating cards, determining their authenticity, assigning proper value, and eliminating fraudulent submissions. While the idea initially sounds simple, the game quickly reveals a surprisingly deep blend of deduction, management, humor, and narrative mystery. The core gameplay revolves around observation and attention to detail. Each card that arrives on the player's desk must be inspected using company guidelines, reference materials, and official documentation. What begins as a straightforward task gradually becomes more demanding as additional rules, exceptions, and unusual circumstances are introduced. Players must compare information, identify inconsistencies, and make accurate judgments while avoiding costly mistakes. This gradual increase in complexity creates a satisfying learning curve that rewards patience and concentration rather than reflexes. One of the game's biggest strengths is its fictional trading card universe. The cards themselves are filled with quirky artwork, amusing concepts, and humorous flavor that give the world a unique personality. Rather than serving as simple inspection targets, they become collectibles that players genuinely enjoy discovering. The hand-drawn visual style adds considerable charm, helping each card stand out while reinforcing the game's playful tone. The result is a setting that feels alive and entertaining despite being centered around a desk job. The inspection process remains engaging because the game consistently introduces new challenges. Players are encouraged to think critically as they encounter increasingly convincing fakes, altered card information, and evolving company policies. Success depends on paying close attention to subtle details, making every correct decision feel rewarding. The gameplay loop effectively captures the satisfaction of solving small puzzles while maintaining a relaxed pace that allows players to focus on careful analysis rather than speed. Beyond the day-to-day inspection work, Trading Card Inspector also includes a narrative that adds depth to the experience. As players advance through the story, they uncover strange events occurring within the company. What begins as a routine workplace assignment slowly develops into a tale involving secrets, suspicious activities, and unexpected twists. The writing balances comedy and mystery effectively, creating a storyline that encourages continued progression without distracting from the primary gameplay mechanics. The game further extends its longevity through an Endless Mode that becomes available as players gain experience. This mode allows users to put their inspection skills to the test under increasingly difficult conditions while experimenting with modifiers that alter the challenge. Additional progression systems and unlockables provide reasons to keep playing even after completing the main storyline. For players who enjoy mastering systems and refining their accuracy, these features offer substantial replay value. Visually, the game succeeds through its distinctive art direction and approachable presentation. The interface is easy to navigate, making information accessible without overwhelming the player. Combined with the colorful illustrations and lighthearted atmosphere, the overall experience feels welcoming and polished. The audio and presentation support the game's cozy workplace aesthetic, helping transform what could have been a repetitive task into something genuinely enjoyable. Trading Card Inspector may not appeal to everyone. Players seeking fast-paced action or constant excitement could find its methodical structure too slow. The game's enjoyment relies heavily on appreciating detailed observation, puzzle-solving, and gradual progression. However, for those willing to embrace its deliberate pace, the game offers a refreshing alternative to more traditional simulation titles. What ultimately makes Trading Card Inspector stand out is its ability to turn a niche concept into a surprisingly compelling experience. Through clever investigative mechanics, a charming fictional card game world, entertaining writing, and rewarding progression systems, it delivers something that feels both original and memorable. It demonstrates how a creative idea, when executed with confidence and attention to detail, can provide hours of satisfying gameplay. Rating: 8/10
A delightful game with a fantastic artstyle :)
Neat little game, very Papers Please in its conceit but with (usually) no time pressure. Makes you realize how bad you are at mental math. Really fun set of cards and art, I wish there was more to do with them. Has some interesting twists, but the ending left me wanting a little? Still definitely worth your time if the conceit appeals. Could use more pineapples, maybe.

Story mode is short but sweet. Love the gameplay and definitely improved my mental maths...
