my car do be schmooving
One of the most solid racers I've ever played and the tricking aspect is just the cherry on top. The mechanics are flawless and flying through the air spinning barrel rolls is awesome. The graphics and maps are all awesome too. Firing up a beautiful sunset map and just cruising around doing tricks and completing challenges is the perfect amount of thrilling and chill. The music is great as well

This is genuinely a really fun arcade racing game. I was particularly impressed by the game feel which elevated the whole thing. Easy recommend from me! FULL VIDEO - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aswCY3NflLM
A lot of people would associate this being like rocket league (in which I have 2k hrs) because of the aerials and air-jumps, but the physics and maneuvers in this game handle very differently, with more nuance and complexity. The movement of the game reminds me more of something like SSX Tricky crossed with SF Rush, you can do pretty wild tricks and moves, and the skill is in making the physics of it flow smoothly. Fun gem of a game with humble beginnings on itch.io, absolute steal for $2 on the summer sale, and I'd still say worth the full $11 price for what's there:

Simple rally driving with boosting, jumping, and tricks (drifts, spins, grinds).
Car can get wrecked if it impacts too fast: can sometimes be easy to pull a Redline and obliterate yourself into a wall with a bad drift, or botch an aerial/grind and fall to your death. For this reason, the game also has a car-reset key to place you on the track again.
Logs/Rails/Edges can be grinded, however it doesn't snap you to the grind, so if you're not careful you can very easily fall/pop/spin off a rail.
The soundtrack is decent, one or two meh songs, but several that groove hard.
8 stages with 3 game modes: Track race, freestyle, challenges
Track race is just as it sounds, race the level start to finish. Game currently has no looping tracks, they're all hand-made with a beginning and end.
Freestyle is for most trick points thru the track, also earning time as you trick across checkpoints. A few maps are also "park styled", with no start/finish, just open space for tricking.
Challenges ("Exploration") let's you free-roam a map, and from menu select hand-crafted challenges for the stage. These involve doing jumps, grinds, aerials, through rings which have physical collision with the car. The expert challenges are basically flagellation, only for the type of player who gets all gold medals in Pilot Wings 64, or all platinum times in Blast Corps.
Modest selection of car types, with paint color schemes unlocked from challenges.
Global leaderboards for game modes, race against the ghost of your personal best, or against anybody else's record on the leaderboards
I've only owned the game a few days, but it's already roped me in for a huge amount of time. Easy to pick up, and hard to put down. Simple to learn and difficult to master. See if you can beat my track time for Trailblazer mode in Midtown! :P
I had the pleasure to play the beta of this game. For me this game is Trackmania meet Tony Hawk. And its really really fun!!! The first tries are kinda hard, but once you get it its so much fun to just in rails etc. This game is just EA but it has already a lot of content and i guess even more is coming! But i played one month the beta and could not finish it so you will have a lot of fun if you like trackmania, tony hawk and maybe rocked leage? And now let the engines cry!
A very fun and challenging skill based game. Reminds me of SSX tricky but with cars. Fun sound track. Loving it so far and excited to see how things develop. I've only played through the easy and medium challenges on the Park level, but I'm hooked. Comments: - When loading the tutorial, the car that it defaults to is locked, and I had to change the car to azimuth (which was unlocked) - When loading singleplayer, the default level was Hamlet and is locked, I had to change it to Park (which was unlocked) - Ring challenges in the start menu are not found obviously
This games potential is amazing its like a skate game on some maps and a normal racing game on others it feels kinda like rocket league but you can drift and grind and there are a bunch of cool things to do it is definitely worth $5 however I was hoping that the maps would have a different look only to find they all look very similar this is in early access though so I hope that they can add more variety to the way maps look like maybe a more modern map or something set in japan or Egypt or somewhere even the moon just something to add more variety other than that it is a very fun game to play and worth the $5 try the demo out if your not sure as that still gives plenty of content
The reviews mentioning Rocket League are accurate (where, disclaimer, I have over 700h) and Trackmania's "one more try" feeling is definitely present - I quickly started trying to beat my own records. But even if that's not your thing, and for a perhaps more accessible comparison: if you liked messing around in the air with the Rocket Voltic in GTA V, well, this is that on steroids and as a game of its own. You probably won't be able to do all the cool stuff you see in the trailer in your first day, in fact, you'll probably need to put quite some hours in to get good mechanically - just like with Rocket League - but the thing is, I still had a blast just messing around and treating this as a "flightless" arcade racer, mostly just drifting to be able to use the boost. The only thing that felt less polished to me were certain sound effects. The music selection is good even if a bit generic, but it definitely sets the right tone for this style of game. Despite being in early access there is already plenty of content, even if most maps just reuse the assets from each other. I have not touched the multiplayer aspects yet, but I assume those will be more interesting once there are enough players (at the time of writing, it appears that many leaderboards don't even have 50 entries). For once, the discovery queue was useful and I found a hidden gem. I'd really like to see a competitive/speedrunning community around this game one day. The maps just reek of shortcut madness.
