Unfortunately you don't get much at the start to help you get going. I do love this sort of game, especially the heroes side. Would you just give some more food in the first few levels to get you into the flow of the game?
It's Fun to pass the time,Good game for strategy based thinkers.... game has a problem with hero movement though, doesn't always move where you want and on the right waypoints...
First, the game is glitchy as hell. It will move to the background mid-game, forcing you to constantly re start levels. Also. And this is a big one. It's a generic Kingdom Rush, and not a good one. The towers suck, the upgrades suck. The game sucks more than a White House intern.....
It's almost identical to kingdom rush & Castle Defense, Doesn't look bad & Crash-free, it works good so far. Played 5 levels so far and it's getting interesting. Unlocked already the second hero & Upgraded 3 towers!
I'd agree with pretty much all the negative reviews. The game just lacks any semblance of a personality of it's own. Which isn't a surprise given the name. I can't even call it generic, that implies it at least has a proper name. It's more a description in place of a name. Anyway.. The second and third hero are too overpowered for most maps. You can place two towers by them and pretty much be good to go without a fuss on most of the maps. It's just not very engaging or well thought out mechanically. There are far better tower defense games on Steam. I took the risk on it despite the reviews, and it wasn't worth it.
The game is a simplified copy of Kingdom Rush. The enemies and landscape liberally copy from Kingdom Rush. The graphics and game play are not nearly as good, but it is still entertaining. The motion is not very good and there are too few towers, heros, enemies, upgrades etc. It is still fun though. If you liked Kingdom Rush, you may like this, and appreciate Kingdom Rush more. After I finished the game, I felt like I had played it before. Indeed - it is almost the same as "Magic Quest" also on Steam. Magic Quest is a little more sophisticated. Probably from the same developer.
It is hard to imagine that anyone could do anything less and call it a tower defense game. I will be honest, so far, every thing works. That is the end of the positives on this effort. For starters, all the assets appear to be stolen. All the monsters, the heroes the towers, everything. Even some of the maps look like a small piece of another games maps, blown up to make the experience as bland as possible. There are three heroes, but the upgrades are exactly the same, and there seems to be no real reason no yo always use the biggest one. You do need to go back a lot and re-enter the upgrades, as they seem to fall out. Three for health, three for armor and three for attack. After that experience does nothing. There are a handful of attacks as well, but none of them seem to do much. Each level can be played on regular or hard, and that it the extent of he variety. There are four tower types, and upgrades simply make assorted stats a few higher, nothing more interesting than damage, rate of fire and range. The ice tower does slow them down, but there is no way to tell if that ability gets better. The fire tower doesn't seem to burn things. The lightning tower hits multiple targets, and the basic arrow tower, which isn't, oddly the cheapest. All in all, this game should be considered a misdemeanor at the least. Do not buy.
