Backstory
A respected teacher, Kamishirasawa Keine, transforms into the insanely greedy Minamiyama Keine on the night of the full moon.
For her, the change is as natural as becoming a hakutaku a thousand years ago.
Her personality shifts completely, and she sets a goal:
“Buy Gensokyo in 25 days, and make everyone here carry 10 billion dollars in student debt.”
Meanwhile, Gensokyo faces multiple crises:
the impending death of Hieda no Akyuu, the Temple School Incident, the Internet Shutdown Incident, and the Green Dam Harmony Incident.
As the instigator of the Temple School Incident, which path will Keine Minamiyama choose:
the Shirasawa Sage or the Minamiyama Principal?
Earth Background Story
Gensokyo is a place that shelters forgotten monsters.
A thousand years ago, after defeating demons and evil spirits, the gods chose to retreat into the Litang Continent.
On Earth, a small number of reclusive youkai also entered Gensokyo as civilization advanced and they were forgotten by humans.
As a divine beast and the offspring of gods and youkai,
the Shirasawa was also forgotten.
Its divine half remained on Earth as a soulless body,
while its youkai half entered Gensokyo and took residence within a human named Keine.
Principal Minamiyama — Wang Niang
She is neither just nor evil, caring nothing for fame or power.
For five thousand years, she only earned money in silence.
As capitalism developed, Wang Niang was not forgotten.
Instead, she gained more and more power and the faith of the upper class.
As the saying goes:
What the U.S. government does not govern is governed by conglomerates.
What the conglomerates do not govern is governed by Principal Minamiyama from Shandong.
But…
Wang Niang, a scheming and reclusive girl, has recently become obsessed with games.
This led to the division of the United States and human society, partisan hatred, and economic collapse.
Neglecting all her duties, she was eventually reborn into Gensokyo.
Gameplay
As Teacher Keine enters Gensokyo, she must acquire all assets in Gensokyo. There are 29 assets in total, but you will win the game once you acquire the 26th asset.
To earn more income, you need to upgrade the Temple School classrooms and install a nuclear fusion generator. You must also install an air conditioner in the principal’s office. Otherwise, Keine will suffer heatstroke and you will fail the game!
The game mainly consists of three steps:
Acquire assets
Upgrade the Temple School
Bribe Reimu and give gifts to Kaguya
Touhou: Records of Wealth Seeking puts great effort into its story,
filled with absurd, hilarious, and artistic moments.
Through Minamiyama Keine’s 28 lessons,
we see a world that is both ridiculous and dark.
In this abstract work, you will witness a shrewd and insightful Principal Minamiyama
who conquers Gensokyo without any fighting.
