Touhou Blooming Chaos is a shooting game, Reimu Hakurei and Marisa, fighting enemies with barrages and spell cards. Unlike general shooting games, the operation is more flexible and there are more areas to explore. A gorgeous game experience is irresistible!

This is an interesting Touhou Project Fan game that combines ACT and STG. It doesn't support English yet, but some UI and menus are translated into English. According to developer feedback, it may later support other languages, including English. The game isn't perfect and there's a bit rough. But considering the price, it's okay. Pixel art is cute and music goes well with the game. The gameplay balance is somewhat uneven, but challenging and exciting enough. Regardless of the story, if you are interested in this kind of game, try it. Honorary Disclaimer: The only reason why I picked this game up truthfully is to see how the game played itself since the controls and menu for that matter are in English Sure you might not be able to tell what the heck's going on half the time via story but it doesn't bug me all that much, i'm just here to give a modest review.
Opening Disclaimers
As one can tell this is a touhou style game, if not already obvious this is going to be a bullet hell, if you don't like dodging and avoiding patterns of attacks then this isn't the game for you. If you can't understand Chinese/Japanese and just want to play a touhou game for the sake of touhou, by all means, give this 6 dollar game a try, I expected hot garbage and from what I spent the last two hours on, it's actually rather fun.
The Story
I. . can't help you here, pffh did you expect me to spoil it? C'mon, I already said it before, no clue~ All I can tell is Reimu is ticked off and goes on a rampage, either way- play the game, watch the nice art, you'll probably get it in a few years, who knows.
The Controls
Luckily in english, Z to fire, X to absorb bullets (at the cost of 100 POW) to convert all hostile projectiles that hit it into health, c to switch characters, arrow keys to move, personally i'd love to have this on a twin stick or have it so you can aim and shoot with the mouse, but alas- we've all got to suffer.
The Music
All the boss fight music is the same, different stages offer different bgms, there's this odd loop that awkwardly cuts out some of the music for a second or two but replaces it just as quickly, not bad music, i'd take it off youtube and listen Idly any day in my opinion. Could give the bosses unique bgms if you ask me, but it's whatever, not too shabby.
The Character's (You play as atleast.)
From what I can tell you can play as two characters, one Reimu, your starter, relatively slow, small hitbox when you enable slowmo and has homing projectiles at higher levels of POW, personally used her to clear most of the mobs off screen and cheese some bosses that were too fast to hit. Then you got Marissa, fast, bullets are numerous but there's no homing at all, also at higher levels of POW you have a beam attack that fires very quickly, if you've got healing items and plenty of time then you can EASILY melt boss health-bars if you face tank, otherwise, pretty good taxi. (Probably a third in here somewhere but I wouldn't know, both of the sprites are cute, also iconic in their design.)
Main Issues
Edit 10/11: Turns out your health bar is moved to the bottom of the screen instead of the top for clutter reasons, I didn't notice at first but alas, seems to be more for the player's benefit. Ice-cream heals around 20, rice-ball, 45 or so, item #3 double that and the cream of the crop super-dish is probably a full restore. When you die, you're given up to fifteen chances to try again right at the beginning. (I know, theres different modes but let's be honest if I can't read them i'm probably not going to play them.) Not only does it defeat the purpose of a touhou game to be given THAT much leway on failure, but i'm also not one to complain, alas- it beats having to spend two hours memorizing a boss's movements like San's or someone more menacing. 10/13 Update: Save feature added, thankyou. Give the game English Translations
How's the Gameplay?
If you're familiar with touhou games it's rather standard, plentiful in it's own and down to the core original, content may be a bit lacking in other fields but from what I can tell there's multiple endings, (I got ending #2) from what I can tell Marissa is an optional character to pickup and probably makes the game a bunch easier, you can level up to a maximum of 500, each level adding one hit point and from what I can tell, not much else. Pow is essential to win in this game, 300 caps off your highest attacks and 400 is so you can have a safety net while maintaining your own offense, the game play is standard on it's own and if for the sake of playing for another ending, i'd more than likely do so again.
Verdict: 7/10
The game's not too bad but other from story mode there's really not much else there, from what I can tell, surely this'll be more appealing towards a foreign audience that can speak and understand the language, otherwise it's standard for a touhou title, if you wanted my own advice, give it an actual English script, work on your grammar, (You can see it all over the product description) and most importantly, listen to those who care about your game. I do appreciate the title and the low price, six dollars can easily be replaced, so too can the time. But in honest opinion, if you've nothing else to buy i'd say go for it, what's the worst that can happen yeah?
There are underage kids and you beat the crap out of them. Really makes you feel like a single father; 9/10 because there isn't RTX support. Oh yeah half the UI is in English and the other is in Chinese but it's playable.

Wonderful Touhou fan game. Cute pixel graphic, orchestra soundtracks and familiar danmaku gameplay but with the view from the top and explorable levels. Though the game is in Chinese, it is 100% playable for non-Chinese speaking people, unless you want to know the story and read dialogues in cut-scenes. But it would be great if developers add English translation it the future.
Doesn't need Engllish. All the menus, and controls/settings are in English. You basically play enter the gungeon with a touhou characters, same way touhou works and all that good stuff. After you clear the right amount of enemies, the boss area opens up - you know thre drill here; spellcards require you to take down a certain amount of their HPO without using boms. All in tact here. And, plenty of hidden screts as well. Devs adding true controller support soon ( I used Joy2Key for now ) and they're adding dual stick controls - which will greatly improve the gameplay.
Make Chinese and English speaker feel at home: Bilingual Curator
I love it already. I wish it was in English too. The keyboard only control choice for this game is very very difficult. So you should go with mouse and keyboard instead for better aiming and if you want to have more fun, just saying. Only beaten Flandre so far so i can't say much about this but the sequel of this game has much more stuff in it, though, i like the gameplay and performance in this game better. Why you ask? You think Intel HD Graphics 4000 can handle a pixelated game? Apparently not. Not even a pixel. Or it's just that my laptop is overheating but hey i recommend both games. Sequel has english language support but this game doesn't, you can still enjoy it. Love the soundtrack, as well! Edit: Also i want to say thanks to a friend for gifting me this game. They know who they are so i don't need to say their name.
