Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.71/day in the week to Aug 16 → 11.14/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Add-ons
Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; Xbox, GOG, Epic publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.
Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

三国题材
Best total war game I've played. Has the most strategic depth of any of them, and I've played Rome total war (i and ii), shogun, medieval, warhammer, napolean. Diplomacy actually matters, and it works. Maintain good relations and they will actually respect that and not declare war. Spies actually do something useful. Managing the imperial court and the imperial family is extra on top. Played as Cao Cao, and was sandwiched between north and south. Relied heavily on diplomacy to keep the big southern empire happy. Sun Ce faction scary as hell as they expanded at lightning speed and united the whole south. Had to use every trick up my sleeve to keep them happy (pay them off, marriage, schemes, credibility). Trade was extremely important for economy, especially securing access to trade resources. Finally united the north through treacherous diplomacy (annexing my vassals after promising not to) and now ready to rival the south. Declared war. Realized my economy was totally dependent on the southern trade goods. Went into negative income. Had to scramble to disentangle my economy from the southern trade goods. Got screwed over multiple times by spies flipping my armies, and screwed them back in turn with my own spies. In the end, Cao Cao lived to see all of China united under his rule at ripe old age of 78. Awesome game. Well worth the $10 price tag I paid (this game frequently goes on steep discount).
A good game for seasoned game strategists. I played the heck out of Rome and Rome 2 and tried a few other total war games since that weren't as appealing. There's a lot more mechanics at play in Three Kingdoms to help build your empire, generals, court, armies, cities, etc. It feels like a well rounded game overall. A few things I didn't like were the less than stellar tutorials. In earlier total war games the tutorials were excellent and really helped me learn the game. The tutorial on building your towns and cities is especially bad with little direction and help to know what to focus on. The advisor does a good job on letting the player know what empire options are now available so nothing is neglected and forgotten however (such as a general that leveled up or a town where new construction is available). When I started the game I selected the option that I was new to Total War so I would get all tutorials and tips. Even the battle tutorial was barebones compared to Rome and Rome 2 for example. I was honestly shocked at the lack of effort put into the game tutorials. The AI isn't very aggressive compared to earlier Total War games. I kept thinking that my enemies were going to sack my undefended towns and settlements which almost never happened. It's impossible to have armies in all of your settlements, towns, and cities so this mechanic (the AI's lack of aggression) was a bit of a disappointment. I didn't care for the settlement/town/city building game mechanic. It felt extremely limited where you can only focus on a few building types instead of a more robust approach like I have with the Civilization games. I didn't care for the game mechanic of your own leaders (generals, politicians, etc.) disliking each other so you had to separate them in order to keep them satisfied. It was just a bit annoying for me and I wish there were options to disable this game mechanic and a few others like satisfaction. There is an option to disable people dying of age which is welcomed. I just wish there were more gameplay options to tweak my game experience. The modding scene for this game is unfortunately sparse with many of the mods being written in 2019 and outdated. It's also difficult to find mods with English descriptions as most are done in Korean or Mandarin. Overall, a good entry into the Total War franchise which I recommend. Just be prepared to watch tutorials on YouTube or other platforms to really learn some of the game mechanics (which the tutorial system fails on).
