Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best CN #86, worst KR #87 · 2 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.71/day in the week to Aug 16 → 11.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.

Total War: Three Kingdoms is a gorgeous looking game with an incredible atmosphere that really draws you into the the brutal struggle that China endured following the dissolution of the Han Empire. The music, native Chinese voice lines, and the cinematics were all excellent touches. Unfortunately, a lot of the gameplay mechanics, in my opinion, left a lot to be desired and made the game at certain points feel like a chore. Examples of these include: Units not being recruited at full strength which requires the player to spend a couple of turns replenishing them, not being able to adjust taxes across your provinces, units destroyed in battle respawning back into an army after a couple of turns, military recruitment buildings being non-existent, campaign map agents being non-existent, and of course the "retinue" system for armies, which really limits the sandbox and creativity aspect that players in previous total war games had for creating super fun armies. Some people may enjoy these mechanics, but as a veteran of previous historical total war games (Empire, Napoleon, Shogun 2, Rome 2, and Atilla) I really dislike what CA did here with Three Kingdoms. It seems like they tried to simplify a lot of what makes TW actually TW and tried to reinvent the wheel when they didn't need to. Not everything is bad gameplay wise however, with a great addition being the supply system, which needs to be monitored to ensure your army doesn't suffer from attrition while in foreign territory. Forests being able to be set ablaze is another feature that I really enjoyed not only for tactical usage, but because it looked great visually. The real time battles also felt pretty good, so I don't have much to gripe about there. Cav still hits hard when flanking infantry, Spear infantry are great when used to hold the line, Sword infantry performs better versus spears, Crossbows and Archers are great for probing the enemy, and artillery like Trebuchets and Multiple bolt crossbows are great force multipliers when used properly. I definitely enjoyed TW:3K but I certainly feel like it is one of the weaker historical TW titles, and I think anybody that has played Rome 2, Shogun 2, and Atilla will probably feel the same way.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
