About

Play as a lone gunslinger who arrives in the accursed ghost town in search of a lost friend. The residents of the once-prosperous mining town have been afflicted by madness. Monsters and horrors roam the streets and there are few souls remaining with a sound mind. If the Eldritch beasts of the town can be overcome– there may be hope yet for Tombwater.

Dash and slash your way through unsettling Eldritch beasts. Wield an arsenal of firearms, blades, spells, apothecary items, and cursed charms to protect yourself from a madness taking hold. Strike with a cavalry saber before casting a spell, or, equip yourself with a flame-imbued shotgun and a mining pickaxe to just tear the monsters apart.
Tread your way through the interconnected world of Tombwater. Metroidvania elements allow you to discover canyons, scrublands, forests, mines, and more. Find many secret, optional areas full of strange NPCs and their quests, or dangerous enemies guarding rewards.
A ancient curse, a mining disaster, a missing sheriff, and a darkness permeating everything. Uncover the secrets that Tombwater’s deranged inhabitants are trying to keep buried.

The exploration is really good. The combat is solid. The music and art are great. Its got a cool setting. Good stuff all around.
Very cool game. The map feels huge but doesn't overstay its welcome. Lots of cool stuff to explore. Combat is solid. As a native New Mexican I can say the vibe of the setting feels authentically western (well, western + horror) rather than corny cowboys and indians. Some of the systems are a bit obscure, like when you pick a class at the beginning it shows you stats like str and dex... but that's the last time you see them, the only stats you can pick on level up are hp/mana/stamina. Check out the demo, if you like it you'll definitely like the full game.
Beautiful game :)
Great, good, awesome.
This game is fantastic! I can't stop playing.
a pretty good souls-like 2d Zelda with super nintendo graphics and guns. It has SO much to explore, with all its nooks and crannies hiding different weapons, guns, tons of spells, and miscellanea. all with environmental and item-description based storytelling, in service of a fairly flat, predictable story. Exploration is the games strong suite, stumbling across some random boss or an entire zone you never expected is pretty cool. its easy to die, but the game never feels unfair. and the atmospheric music is excellent at setting the mood of some of these places. -the wild west + lovecraft theme is pretty novel. -took an embarrassingly long time to figure out how to equip and use all the spells I'd been learning. think I might have pressed a button when the explainer popped up. should really have had a character to introduce you to the system. but the spells are all really cool, especially using the fire spells to open up new areas and light the dark caves. -lot of people complaining about the Map not being granular enough. which is true, but you're given ample tools to mark your map, so be sure to drop a marker for each campfire, shop, NPC, and fast travel point you encounter, cause the games not going to do it for you.
Great fun
Overall a very good game and absolutely recommend to anyone that is a fan of Metroidvania's and Souls-Likes. It is missing a few QoL items like a better map and some hints to what the heck it is you should be doing. It was still a lot of fun exploring, great controls, fun bosses, and a nice difficulty curve.
Bloodborne meets the Wild West in a topdown adventure with amazing controls and great music!
Addictive game with a weird old west feel!
