About

Play as a lone gunslinger who arrives in the accursed ghost town in search of a lost friend. The residents of the once-prosperous mining town have been afflicted by madness. Monsters and horrors roam the streets and there are few souls remaining with a sound mind. If the Eldritch beasts of the town can be overcome– there may be hope yet for Tombwater.

Dash and slash your way through unsettling Eldritch beasts. Wield an arsenal of firearms, blades, spells, apothecary items, and cursed charms to protect yourself from a madness taking hold. Strike with a cavalry saber before casting a spell, or, equip yourself with a flame-imbued shotgun and a mining pickaxe to just tear the monsters apart.
Tread your way through the interconnected world of Tombwater. Metroidvania elements allow you to discover canyons, scrublands, forests, mines, and more. Find many secret, optional areas full of strange NPCs and their quests, or dangerous enemies guarding rewards.

Amazing game, I had a blast going for the 100% ! Loved the vibe and the pixel art <3
BASICLY TOP DOWN BLOODBORNE. ITS GREAT.
Very good game. Positives: - Lots of bosses. - Huge variety of weapons, spells, and charms to discover. - Plenty of secrets to find. - A massive world that's easy to get lost in. - A fresh take on the Zelda/Soulslike formula. Negatives: - The biggest issue is the map. It's honestly just straight up dog sh*t. It's too vague to be reliable, and even using markers doesn't help much because the map doesn'thave any meaningful details. It only gives you a rough idea of where you are within a zone, and even that isn't always accurate. Areas like the sewers connect to multiple regions, and the sub-areas don't have maps at all, this makes it so frustrating. - My other issue/nitpick is how water and bottomless pits work. The game gives you a short window to get back to solid ground, but sometimes it's simply impossible and you drown anyway. The health loss isn't a big deal, but the respawn is. You're placed right on the edge of the water or pit, so even the slightest movement can send you straight back in. It's especially frustrating when you need to dash, since dashing follows your movement direction and often launches you directly back into the hazard. You have to carefully step away from the edge before you can safely dash. Despite these issues, Tombwater is absolutely worth playing. The water/pit respawn problem feels like something that could be patched fairly easily. The map, however, really needs a complete rework. If the navigation were improved, this game would be close to perfect.
Good game. Hits all marks for a good metroidvania. The map you use to navigate is atrocious though. 8.5/10
A little different from 3d soulslikes but i enjoyed it. Some really unique boss concepts, no boss felt unfair just learn the moveset. The vauxhall dad can be cheesed a little by standing in one of the corners and using the pinkerton rifle on the eyes hehe. 4 way directional attacking and stationary during attack windups take some getting used to. I didnt use a lot of the weapons just due to how long their windups were. Charon stations were certainly something. I got the coin but didnt see a station until the vauxhall estate so uhhh yeah the game was pretty much over by that time lol. Dungeons were fun.
10/10 A "W" game, really really enjoyed this. I hope these guys make another.
Pretty nice, but difficulty is maybe a bit too annoying...
Fantastic take on the Souls-like genre. Streamlines enough of the mechanics to keep it fun (and more Zelda-like), while still having enough difficulty to be challenging. There were some minor technical glitches trying to aim the melee attacks that got annoying, but overall it's a remarkably solid, confident adventure that stands on its own. I've bounced off plenty of "Dark Souls by 2D" games in the past, but this is the first one I've stuck through to the end. Highly recommended.
cowboy beats eldritch beings its awesome
