About

Play as a lone gunslinger who arrives in the accursed ghost town in search of a lost friend. The residents of the once-prosperous mining town have been afflicted by madness. Monsters and horrors roam the streets and there are few souls remaining with a sound mind. If the Eldritch beasts of the town can be overcome– there may be hope yet for Tombwater.

Dash and slash your way through unsettling Eldritch beasts. Wield an arsenal of firearms, blades, spells, apothecary items, and cursed charms to protect yourself from a madness taking hold. Strike with a cavalry saber before casting a spell, or, equip yourself with a flame-imbued shotgun and a mining pickaxe to just tear the monsters apart.
Tread your way through the interconnected world of Tombwater. Metroidvania elements allow you to discover canyons, scrublands, forests, mines, and more. Find many secret, optional areas full of strange NPCs and their quests, or dangerous enemies guarding rewards.

A cool idea of cowboy bloodborne, but having a plain looking world with a map that does not give any extra info is not the mental effort I care to put in a game that is this average. Magic is overpowered and they make it so you can't spam by making you go mad and than it becomes impossible to spellcast, I like this balance. You gain back bullets on hits, forcing melee, which is also great. But the real bummer is you pick classes like melee, gunslinger, rogue or occult but you can only level up health, stamina and your one other stat. So you are locked into a class you don't know you like and you can't upgrade any stat like every other souls-likes to try other stuff out. The combat isn't terrible but boy does it just not feel good to be locked in 4 directions while the enemies aren't making fights take longer to line everything up. I like that consumables and items are on a per rest use. I hope other games copy this.
Y'all like them old Zelda games? Well dang, how bout Bloodborne? *spits* Tell you hwat, you gon' like Tombwater.
Amazing game, people complaining about the melee its just skill issue, make sure to turn on "melee where aiming" and it'll feel a lot better, don't forget to mark your map btw
Incredible game
Too much jank and intentionally obtuse design for me. Enemies attack 8 ways but the player is locked to 4 in melee, enemies have the dumbest AI possibly I have ever seen, enemy health is bloated and variety is terrible, art is fine but has an early era RPG maker blandness, fast travel unlocks FAR too late and when you do get it the devs decided to make it separate from save points and you probably missed unlocking most of them because the system was NEVER explained. I could just keep going on but it all comes down to the game isnt for me, I dont understand the hype. I love weird west and appreciate the indie dev but this is overall a huge disappointment for me personally.
I loved my time playing tombwater. Figuring out where to go, exploring new areas and encountering so many optional bosses. The controls are good for the most part. The story is good. A solid 2d souls like game that is a great modern take on old legend of zelda style games. I highly recommend.
This game is a mix of all my favorite elements of gaming, soulslike, gritty 2D art, and a western theme to put it all together. Exploration seems to have me surprised after finding a new path to exploring each time I boot up, a good game for me to rage at learning MnK. My only gripe so far is that the map is HARD on the eyes, I don’t know what I’m looking at when I open it but I mean a soulslike comes down to exploration right? Even so it’s still a solid 9.5/10 for me!
Amazing game. Core combat gameplay is very satisfying. I like the variety of spells/weapons. Exactly what you would expect from a Bloodborne inspired Zelda-like RPG.
A great game that deserves much more eye balls on it, the mix between the top down perspective and Metroidvania exploration, with western theme mixed with bloodborne eldritch horrors and Souls-like combat, great melee and ranged weapons, spells, tools and consumables systems, well-paced upgrade system as well, those make this game of a kind gem to be honest, it takes you 20-30 hours depending on how good you are in combat and how much you explore and unlock, All in all, worth every penny! I really hope the developers make another game in the same style but even larger!
10/10. A 2D Western-Souls-Metroidvania. Compelling world design and exploration. Engaging bosses. Well executed Western+Eldritch themes.
