Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is easily the best way to experience these classics. The remastered visuals look fantastic, modern controls are available for newcomers, and if you're feeling nostalgic, the original tank controls are still there waiting for you. Press F1 at any time to switch between the original and remastered graphics. Press F3 to enter Photo Mode and capture beautiful shots throughout Lara's adventures. One piece of advice: Save a separate slot at the beginning of every level. The games don't include a level select after completion, so having a save for each level makes hunting secrets, collectibles and achievements much easier without having to restart an entire playthrough. And don't be afraid to use guides. These games were made long before glowing objective markers and compass indicators became standard in gaming. Sometimes the solution is obvious. Sometimes the solution is a switch hidden in the darkest corner of the map that you've already walked past fifteen times. That's classic Tomb Raider for you, no hand holding at all. For the price of a single game, you're getting three legendary adventures, dozens of levels, countless secrets and enough content to keep you busy for a very long time. If you've ever wanted to experience where Lara Croft's adventures began, this is the perfect place to do it.

알아보기 힘든 온갖 벽면 오브젝트가 이제 뭔지 확실히 구분됩니다. 분위기를 살리기 위한 오브젝트 추가도 이루어졌습니다. 빠른 저장, 불러오기가 있습니다. 매 점프마다 세이브/로드 신공으로 태초마을 안가도 됩니다. 캐릭터들의 눈동자가 돌아갑니다. 예전에는 뭔지 몰랐던 그림들과 사물들을 고전/리마스터 전환키를 눌러 비교해보는 재미가 있습니다. 거기다 사진모드를 이용한 전지적 맵 탐사도 가능하고 사진포즈도 50개 가까이 됩니다. 찾아야 할 비밀 수가 매 스테이지 표시되며, 비밀을 다 찾으면 추가 스킨도 입혀볼 수 있습니다. 덕분에 비밀을 찾아야 할 목적이 생기고, 비밀 수 표시로 비밀 찾기가 편리해졌습니다. 상호작용 가능한 사물 및 아이템에 근접하면 손바닥 아이콘이 떠서 편의성이 대폭 증가했습니다. 왜 있는지 모를, 귀찮은 도전과제까지 포함해 도전과제가 무수히 많습니다. 뉴게임 플러스가 있어 몬스터가 강해집니다. 게다가.. 한국어가 적용되었습니다! 다만, 컷씬 영상은 옛날 영상 그대로입니다. 또한, 힌트가 부족한 불친절한 플레이어 유도 방식도 그대로여서 무엇을 해야할지 알 수 없습니다. 비밀은 너무 과하다 싶을 정도로 숨겨진 방식도 리마스터이니 여전합니다. 일부 구간에 기존의 진행 불가능한 심각한 버그가 있다는 보고도 있습니다. (트리거 동작 전, 세이브 로드, 세이브 파일을 매 챕터 처음, 중간, 마지막 지역 나눠서 하길 바랍니다) 사물에 끼이는 것도 여전합니다 (뒤로 점프 또는 제자리에서 빙글빙글 회전) 거기다 툼6는 .. 다시 해볼 엄두가 안나는 최악의 조작감 및 연출도 그대로입니다. 제 생각에 이건 리마스터가 아니라 리메이크를 해야 복구가 될 것 같습니다. 빠듯한 시간 내에 당시에는 RPG 성장요소 추가 등 획기적인 전환을 꾀한 것으로 보입니다. 때문에 핵심 시스템을 다듬고 연구할 시간이 필요 했을텐데, 그럴 시간 없이 일정에 쫓겨 만든 작품이라 원본 자체가 엉망입니다. 엥 이런건 당연한거 아니냐구요? 옛날에는 이딴거 없었거든요. 고전 툼레이더가 추억이신 분들은 70% 이하 할인할 때, 구매하시면 쌍따봉을 날릴거라 예상합니다. 예전에 비밀을 무시하고 플레이했던 저 같은 분들은 이번에 공략 안보고 비밀 다 찾기에 도전해보시는 것도 좋을 것 같습니다. 비밀을 찾느냐 안 찾느냐에 따라 새로운 지역 열리고 컷씬 보는 게 다르고, 게임 자체의 난이도가 엄청나게 올라가 다른 게임(변태같은 도굴꾼 플레이)이 됩니다. 공략 안보고 다 찾는다면, 당신은 개x고수입니다. 다음 생에는 이세계에서 도굴꾼으로 태어나길 바라겠습니다.

Just as much fun as it was but with better graphics! Plus the Flaoting Camera thing allows you to really take in the levels and see everything like a Tourist.

The Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered collection is a really interesting time capsule, and honestly a pretty rewarding way to revisit some of Lara Croft’s more experimental years. I played these back in the PS1 era, and coming back to them in this remastered form on Steam is a mix of nostalgia and appreciation for just how ambitious these games were for their time. They lean more into atmosphere, puzzle-solving, and slow-burn exploration than pure action, and that identity still comes through clearly. The remaster work does a solid job of making everything more readable without stripping away the original vibe. Seeing these environments with cleaner visuals makes the level design stand out even more, especially the intricate tomb layouts and the way progression is tied so tightly to observation and patience. What I still really enjoy is the sense of scale and mystery. These games aren’t afraid to let you get lost a little, and that feeling of slowly figuring out ancient spaces is still very satisfying. When you finally crack a tricky puzzle or discover a hidden path, it feels earned in a way modern hand-holding often doesn’t replicate. Of course, these entries are known for being a bit rougher than the modern Tomb Raider formula. Controls can feel stiff, camera angles can be unforgiving, and some puzzle logic definitely belongs to another era. But in a weird way, that friction is part of the experience now. It forces you to slow down and really think your way through each area. What surprised me most is how distinct each of these three games feels. They each experiment with tone and structure in their own way, and having them together in one package makes that evolution really noticeable. Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered isn’t just nostalgia, it’s a chance to appreciate a more methodical, puzzle-driven era of the series that still has a lot of charm. If you enjoy classic adventure games and don’t mind older design sensibilities, it’s a very worthwhile collection.
