This expansion brings another unique setting to the series, this time taking place in Ethiopia, which helps keep the experience feeling fresh. Beyond the new location, you’ll find a handful of additional weapons and a short storyline to work through. While it doesn’t reinvent the formula or add a huge amount of content, it still offers enough variety to make it worthwhile. If you enjoyed the base game and the other expansion, this one is definitely worth a playthrough. The new setting alone gives it a distinct atmosphere, even if the overall package is on the shorter side.

Новий лідер не гаячи часу нападає на сусідню Еритрею, і тут у гру вступаємо ми—звісно, не заради справедливості, а для захисту стратегічно важливого Червоного моря. На відміну від попередньої кампанії, тут акцент зроблений на відкриті бойові зіткнення. Нічних місій майже немає—переважно доводиться воювати під палючим сонцем. Вісім нових завдань, як не дивно, розгортаються в пустелі. Вороги, хоч і виглядають як місцеві повстанці, стріляють точніше за спецпризначенців і активно використовують легендарні пікапи. Тому додаткове завдання «ЗНИЩИТИ ВСІХ» з’являється напрочуд часто. Що ж, демократія сама себе не захистить. Як на мене, це динамічне й захопливе доповнення, яке чудово доповнює основну гру.

It's a very fun expansion for Ghost Recon; it basically reskins the game into an African setting, yet it still feels like something new.

Ghost Recon: Desert Siege - в детстве был диск с обычной версией Ghost Recon, а оказалось тут еще и дополнения есть, основная игра была у меня одной из любимейших! Но про ДЛС много не скажу! Если поиграю, когда-нибудь (скорее всего никогда), тогда уже поделюсь своим мнением!
