Toast Time is a throwback to the golden age of video games where old-school homebrew titles fused arcade action with a distinctly British sense of humour.

Toast Time is a game where you try to fend of enemies from an alarm clock by shooting breads. You move the opposite direction of where you shoot which makes up for a very awkward and hard to control gameplay. I tried to give it a fair shot and played it for a while but i can't see myself finishing the game for multiple reasons. The game is literally a mobile game. Not even a proper port, ui and aspect ratio is not suited for pc. This game might be a fun time killer on mobile but i can't see any reason why someone would want to play this instead of tons of other great games on steam. Related to that also is the controls feeling off and imprecise. Your character is very bouncy which results in an uncontrollable rage game especially on later levels where you have to stay on the ground to protect the clock. I probably got it in a bundle and wanted to check it out but i would advise you against buying it or playing it since it is just a very basic time-killer.

certified toast time
glitchy glitchy, not worked on compatible mac or windows. tried numerous times, sure some people get lucky. cheap enough to forget about it
Game sucks. Its a chaotic shmup platformer built for mobile devices but slapped on steam. The controls are frustrating and the level design felt like it never complimented its nature. As a game that feels like its trying to pose a genuine challenge, I found it more difficult to reign in any sense of precision, there's also so much happening at once in each level, if you're concentrating on one enemy, another will come and force you to start over. I didn't find it's gameplay loop fun at all.
This game is beyond easy. Click the bad guys over and over and win. $4.99 and never goes on sale. Should have stayed a mobile game and never ported over to PC.
Tags: Casual - Twitch - Shooter Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: A host of technical issues. Limited gameplay. Lacks features. Game design issues. Oustanding Issues: +No Xbox360 pad support +No real resolution support +Play area in shape of phone in middle of screen with lazily extended art +Protag bounces back when fighting making control chaotic +HUD information bugs out with text overlaid on top of text +HUD information include FPS and half a dozen statistics about in-engine things such as variable swaps and whatnot which is probably some devmode being left enabled +Audiovisually flat with white on color X presentation, and gameboy grade sprites and audio +Gets repetitive fairly fast, you will often lose combos and hit the clock by accident by bouncing around due to the physics which hurts your feeling of flow and mastery Conclusion: Very litte in the way of redeeming quality. The british humor was nowhere to be found. Removed for declutter
It's pretty good
